2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take

All the best.
Donβt be too "kancheong", registering later (ie. tmr) may be better strategy for popular schools as u can assess what is your % of success in balloting before u register with your eyes wide-opened. But then again, many parents may be doing it tmr too. This apply mainly to those GRL parents. -
Anyone out there going for Phase 2B at De La Salle?
I am registering my DD tomorrow to gauge the chances. Thinking of asking staff tomorrow how are my chances? If low chances (cos school moving back to old location so think more parents will be trying again versus 2 years ago), then will try CHIJ Bukit Timah or Yew Tee Primary.
Good luck to all fellow 2B-ers! -

Sigh..hb wanted DD to go to school further so that his parents need not be responsible. But my parents already i their 70s, plus all the travelling. Think it will be a tiring 6 more years!

Maxine:
Wherever the school moves to (temporary location), the original premise will be used as distance to your home. That's my understanding. If low chances (cos school moving back to old location so think more parents will be trying again versus 2 years ago), then will try CHIJ Bukit Timah or Yew Tee Primary.

hmmm, ever consider student care if both of you are working? -

It will be tiring for your parents to travel, esp when kids require to stay back for suppl lessons/CCA. Worse case, do consider before/after school care. Try to find one which allows the child to have a shower because that bath will refresh the child after a hot day in school.leo:

Just a strategy as GRL parents can choose the schools to register in P2B.

Yes, no matter where the sch moves to temporary, its original premise will be used to determine the distance to your home. I think what Maxine means is that the number will surge up as the consideration for parents are now the distance travels to sch everyday.
