Might have some employers who will ask on the \"giving birth\" question during interviews. 🤷 Will this leads to more difficulty in find jobs?

Even now with 2 month leave, already during my interview the employer already asked me. So very "kan bu kai"!! This person who asked me is a lady!!

But she absolutely has no problem asking the man in our company to quickly have children while to the woman she’s not happy about it.

6 months can be spread out to ease work load. All these should be negotiable to ensure minimum disruption to work flow. Its about give and take. There’s no one rule fits all. Base on the organisation structure, something can be worked out. But having said that, I don’t think it will happen.

Anyway, this doesn’t affect me at all since I have already closed production ages ago.

Aiyoh :slapshead: .....caring for a child is not only first 6 months leh.

Can consider increasing the childcare leave up to 12 years? Get the kindergarten curriculum regulated (en route to pre-primary preparation) and provide free pre-school public education? Free basic dental and medical for up to 6 years of age?

              Favourite interview questions:

If you are not married –> do you have plans to get married?
If you are married but without kids –> do you have plans to give birth? When?
And the next question will be —> what are your childcare arrangements?

Yes, I asked those questions in the past too.

                Income tax might increase

I think 6 days child care leave in a year is insufficient. Govt should increase based on the number of kids we have. Imagine having 3 kids with close age gaps n all in child care. If each kid fall sick a few times a year x take 2-3 days to recover, sure not enough ccl or annual leave. Unless u hv a maid or family support, else difficult.

That, is practical and feasible policy to encourage \"nation building\"..

16 weeks maternity leave for mothers

6 weeks paternity leave for fathers
10 days childcare leave for each father & mother up to 7yrs
5 days childcare leave for each father & mother for child from Pr 1- 6
Employers adopting more flexi working hours arrangements
                      More school based BASC
Higher subsidy for infant and childcare (can only foresee fees going up with their push to get better qualified teachers)
All assistance or benefits extended to married parents should similarly be extended to single parents. No discrimination.
