Yup...u r right...

anyone registering your kids to SHPS (St. Hilda Pr. School) in phase 2C? I am living < 1KM… how high is my chance? based on passed yr, look difficult…
and anyone try to check the vacancy available at the end of each registration date? asking info like how many SC < 1km… etc… -
i actually asking for phase 2c back up plan. as not familiar with schools here. think stamford primary is not within 2km for us.
do u think how many back up should have for 2c? -

Depending on the school that you choose as back-up. If your back-up is still considered as moderately popular then perhaps have 2 back-up to monitor. -

Yup, my ds kindergarten is teaching them sphere and cone now when the news is already out in May so it really depends on school.[/quote]3D shapes like sphere and cone all the while in P1 syllabus. I don't think the new syllabus (slight change only) refers to this.
Thanks for the update.Kelsy:

Sounds like good news. :rahrah:
Wonder if all schools will 乖乖 follow.
Quoted from the news \"They will also NOT be taught about 3D shapes. They will instead learn about the orientation of objects such as whether they are facing left or right or pointing up or down.\" -
MOE should make the registration numbers live update & indicate what distance how many SC, PR clearly.

River valley needs balloting in p2c < 1km?
If i m not wrong ,river valley also needs balloting.....jangoh:
Both ACJS and SJIJ are good boys mission schools so I'm interested in the P2B stats. Could anyone confirm the following:
ACJS - 43 < 1km
SJIJ - 22 <1km
I guess the backups will be Balestier Hill, River Valley & Stamford Primary ?
I'm wondering if the trend of 43 app staying <1km to ACS & 22 app staying <1km from SJI will continue in 2c. -

I think there will be many more P2c<1 km than in P2b<1 km.....

They will also not be taught about 3D shapes.\"
So it means that currently both \"use of non-std units and 3D shapes\" are taught so under the new syllabus it will not be taught wef next year.
