Hope forumers who know of real cases can share them with this reporter. MOE may act if this gains traction in the media.

      phtthp:
I had received a pm from a reporter.
      This person state:-

โ€œI am with the Straits Times. I am working on a piece about people using fake addresses for P1 registration.

Rest assured that we'll ensure you stay anonymous if you prefer. I'm just
looking to learn more about the phenomenon, and use the information available to investigate further.โ€

Those of you who had grievances to let go, may pm me for his contact telephone.
Then you liase with this reporter directly, to air your misgrievances.

In my view, I would rather ST to help us to voice out to MOE to step in with the schools to help those genuinely staying less than 1 km who did not manage to get into the only school that is available in their area.

          phtthp:
some Straits Times reporters are now reading this forum silently.

To uphold Justice, Integrity & Truth, if you know of people who are using fake address for Phase 2B / 2C P1 registration :-

          example:
enrol their child into a relative's house less than 1 km from ACS Barker / Junior, SCGS, SJI Junior, Bukit Timah schools (Nanyang, Henry Park, Pei Hwa, MGS, RGPS), any top branded, popular school (Rulang, etc) (eg: using their uncle, auntie, grand uncle, grand auntie, great grand uncle, great grand auntie, or rent house but never stay inside as well as including using their own parents house - but never declare explicitly inside Statutory form trying to escape notice), you may call up Straits Times make report.

You may remain anonymous. They'll then use the information you supply, to investigate further discreetly.
          phtthp

          :goodpost:

This post would deter P2C cheaters and bring a lot of comfort to P2C applicants.

It will definitely calm anxious parents and soothe frayed nerves.

Congrats to J_C_M_L_ and others who got in under P2B ballot. :rahrah:
          :congrats:

i have decided to make public this ST reporter nickname.
            the KSP nickname is \"avaya\".

Those who had misgrievances need to get it off your chest, please pm this reporter directly, pour forth your sorrow. Let's hope this reporter has the strength of character to help parents fight and uphold Justice, Integrity, Honesty and Truth - for genuine residents residing less than 1 km. Let's hope that with resources back up by ST, this reporter can help to liaise with MOE direct, liaise with the respective school concerned direct, to probe & investigate further.

after you've pm this reporter, he/she will inform you directly his / her Telephone contact # & name, designation and email. It is better this way.

              Going forward

I hope ksp parents will co-operate in P2C.

Those living within 1km of schools especially those schools with balloting history please register on the 1st day or at least 2nd day.

Those 1-2km please register on day 2 or morning of day 3.

This will give parents who live further from the school time to digest the data and go for Plan B if needed.

Especially parents living within 1km, please donโ€™t go and register just before close of registration to kick parents living further away out. This is a very irresponsible act.

              Please spread the word.

do u think the sch will call up parents to withdraw if they no longer stand a chance? I recall reading on this forum that schs will do that.

If there are too many affected applicants or there is too little time left, the school may not be able to reach the affected parents in time.

Actually I feel that MOE should review the order of registration phases. The current order just does not seem to be right. Why the children have to go to school further away from their home if there is a school right at their doorstep?

What you are saying is true! But I guess we can't stop Parents from doing this..... MOE is to be blame on this system....
In about 1-2 years time they will change the system, they are now getting lots of Stress from Parents like us...
                      Hope for the best!!!

Maybe for P2C, MOE can dictate that those staying <1km register on Day 1, followed by 1-2km on Day 2. Day 3 for >2km etc. Provides more clarity for parents with Plan B.
