may be the law prof did not target the student

is the student that target the prof

Whether he targetted or not, he should know better than to accept the deal proposed by the student. It is clearly bribery and he would have stepped into the legal framework to accede to it. In other words, whoever started it, both are guilty of being charged when caught.

PS: I am not saying they are guilty now, but given the scenario and if the investigations confirms such transaction indeed happens, then both have to be bear the consequences.

may be they are just intimate friends lah, and since personal coaching by the prof, sure score well lah ......some more throughout the year sure got mention about exam topics one .......unless he showed her the exam papers .....ok ok just jesting for fun
You reckon it is like 琼瑶 \"窗外\" Singapore version ah? 😆 :rotflmao:
We same era or not huh?

        Joke
A student comes to a young professor's office hours. She glances down the hall, closes his door, kneels pleadingly.

\"I would do anything to pass this exam.\" She leans closer to him, flips back her hair, gazes meaningfully into his eyes. \"I mean...\" she whispers, \"...I would do...anything.\"

        He returns her gaze. \"Anything?\"

        \"Anything.\"

        His voice softens. \"Anything??\"

        \"Absolutely anything.\"

His voice turns to a whisper. \"Would you...study?\"

if convicted, he'll be sacked from NUS job. She'll be expelled from law school.

            Good.

I always wondered that in such a case, how did they ever get caught?

Its a private liaison which probably only both of them only knew about. And even if one of them did let the cat out of the bag, and someone who heard reported it, the police and prosecutors would need hard evidence to charge them with (not easy for such a case unless they did a legally binding written contract to have sex for grades, which would be null and void anyway).

And I wouldn’t think that either the Prof. or student would report it because each would have too much to lose (one loses her degree, one loses his status and job).

According to wanbao, the girl was not afraid of letting people know. Apparently, she told her friend(s).

                  Nope.

                  事发于去年,女学生当时是法律系第四年学生,她目前已毕业。

want gud grade still so fussy meh....
Vast majority of male faculty in NUS law school will not get past Manhunt knockout round.
Full professors also mostly lau kok kok,
with possible exception of d Dean at a youngish 39/40 yo.
One asso. prof not bad looking lah.
