      Hi All,

Just wanted to say a big congrats to all parents who got their child in. My DD is not registering this year, yet reading all the earlier posts i can sense the pressure and stress of primary registration! All the best to all!

Is PH strict with the selection of PV? When should i start applying for my DD who was born in 2008? Can both set of parents apply separately or its still considered 1 PV?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Maverick, PH has cut down on the number of PVs, and is therefore more stringent on selection. Either 1 parent will suffice, with contributions of 40 hours, or if both parents are PVs, 20 hours each. Some schools require PV to register 1-3 years in advance. PH is 1 yr in advance.

Thanks for the information. Any advice on how to better chances of being selected as a PV? Looking at the number of spaces this year it does look very competitive.

Had a chat with a friend whose DD is in another SAP sch & realized PH's P1 HCL standard is much higher! For eg, term 2 gotta recite 春晓 唐诗 whereas the other sch HCL poetry is about little rabbits & is much simpler.

I'm surprised to hear this. This yr PH removed moxie for P2 so I thought they lowered the standard oredi.

Also realized that a few other schools do not have Maths spelling/mental sums. Is PH unique in introducing this?

Just a quick check, is today’s balloting for 1-2km or >2km? And do you have the figures? Applicants vs vacancies. If we are not balloting can we be present also? Thks.

The balloting is over. Conducted at 11am this morning if not wrong.

Hi there...I'm a Daddy and newbie here 🙂

I'll be giving a shot at PHPP for my DS this coming P2C too for between 1-2km. Hopefully there's still a chance although slim as i believe many <1km and 1-2km kids could have already taken up the vacancies at PHPP and other popular bukit timah pri schools in the earlier phases...cross my fingers. Well I'll be monitoring the 1st 2 days registration first before deciding or just go for my back up plan at BTPS which seems like a pretty decent school academically with good environment which I'm <1km. All the best to us P2C parents!
