I am going tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. I'll get everything ready tonight. Is there a copier machine there? I am afraid I don't have all the copies on hand. We can also take pictures there?

There is a photo copy machine and a photo taking machine there, but usually there is a queue and it would slow down the process.

They only needed one copy of the documents i mentioned earlier and 2 photos. But I was like you, afraid that they require more, so i made 4 copies! and stood by more photos!

I was No.1 on the queue, so the whole process took less than an hour.

Thanks! Went out last night to do her pictures. Discovered that the pictures she took earlier was on blue background. Seems like the requirements have changed. Also made copies. Going there this morning. Hope I can settle everything in 1 hour too! Thank you for all your help.

          Hi carebear,

Just finished! Also took me an hour! Was third in queue! Passport renewal was fast but had to wait almost one hour for the work permit agreement. They had only one counter opened at the beginning. Later, a second one opened. Thanks again for all your advices.

I just did my Indonesian Maid PP renewal yday, it took me about 1.5hrs, I was lucky that the interview went well, i told him i'm giving her an increase to S$450 from S$ 340 with no off days, he didnt even persuade me to give her off days as i read online that they will persuade the employers to give them off days.

Please photocopy all docs before hand as they charged at S$ 0.50/pc. And for the photos, my maid has some balance of the photos she took and when i asked the photo shop cashier from the embassy, they said cannot therefore she re-took however it turned out that her photos she had was much clearer and nicer. 😞
            🤷

The work permit will only be renewed up to 1 month before passport expiry. Once the passport is renewed, the work permit can then be extended to the full 2 years.

Yes, do the passport renewal first. When i did my maid’s PP renewal, there’s still 1 year left to the expiry date. I renewed this July, the expiry date was next yr Jul. No issues.

                      Hi!

Can i check if anyone recently renewed their Filipino maid’s passport?
May i know what kind of "employment contract" do they accept?
And how abt the waiting time (wkdays)? Is it still as long as what some mummies mentioned in the earlier posts?

                        carebear:
It was a breeze at the Indonesian embassy today.

                        It took < 1 hour 😄 !
I went there early after sending my kids to school to avoid the peak traffic. Arrived there at 8:15 am, parked along bishopgate and walked about 200 m before reaching the embassy. There was a queue at the waiting area before you enter. 9am sharp they open the counter and we each had to exchange a card for a pass. Any card with your name on it can as long as it is NOT a business card, ic , work permit or passport. They accept isetan card, link card, club membership card etc.

As uncle lim had previously mentioned, go to Level 1, take a quene number from the machine located between counter 2 and 3, then wait for the number to be called.
Green form to fill in particulars - this can be downloaded from the embassy website, fill it up first at home. If not then after getting the number, immediately go to the left of the counter, on the wall there are the forms and an English translation of it on the wall.

                        When your number is called,
Proceed to counter 1 or 2.
Get ready the following : maid passport and its copy ( page 2 and 3 and the last page)
                        Work permit and its copy
                        Employer nric and its copy
2 maid photos in white background, matte not glossy
                        The completed form
                        $35

Then you will be given a payment slip which you will collect at counter 3.

Then you proceed to level 2 for a short interview.
After that you wait for a short while before they give you the collection slip and the working agreement.
Another working agreement will be given to your maid for application of the KTKLN card if she is returning for home leave.

Collection of passport is 2 working days form today ie 14 oct 3 to 5 pm and can be done by anyone who has the same residential address as the employer.
                        :thankyou:

                        The tips here are awesome!!
Renewed helper's passport this morning. Whole process took us only 40 minutes!

We did many things beforehand - filled the form we printed from online & took her pic at our neighbourhood. My helper simply gave the photog the embassy requirements I'd printed.

We ensured we were 1st in line & we zoomed to q no. dispenser. As others were busy filling up the green form, we were making our way to the 2nd floor for the interview.
