What a relief πŸ˜“ .. Thanks for the feedback on homework.

Anyone has children doing CCA at P1/P2? I see that other than Ballet and Guzheng, the school also has FUN, which consist of Gymnastic, Badminton, Rope Skipping & Table Tennis.. I think my girl will be interested in Rope Skipping. If she take up FUN, can she just do Rope Skipping or does she has to try all 4 activities in the year?

      :thankyou:

Agree on the homework portion, the load doesn't stress the girl's at all. Think at times I feel out cast coz other P1 kids form other schools has homework while DD1 doesnt have much   (which I am happy for πŸ˜‰ )

For show and tell, 3 - 4 days of notice is given. no rubrics or assessment so less stress on child and parent. They focus on the child's confidence level. The principal focuses on \"happy learning\"

They don't give a list of holiday homework either. I would say \"holistic assessment\" really applies here. the bite size assessments are really bite size. Just a page or 2 and the school will inform you the week which it will be held. Love their PE activites!

gym & rope skipping. these are additional which they will inform in Jan.

I am interested to send my girl for ballet too. She is learning in a ballet school now. Heard that we need to ballot??? How big exactly is the ballet class? Is the teacher good?

              Appreciate your feedback :hugs:
think there are only 60 slots and many parents do sign up for it on orientation day hence the need to ballot. It is called Fun Ballet actually.

Don't know about the teacher but DD1 is happy going for her classes so I take as a yes πŸ˜„

hmm… so how many CCA do you sign your girl up for? My girl has been doing ballet at SBA for 2 years and also Gymnastics and swimming. I think that might be too much for her…

SBA? The one at or around waterloo area?

My girl signed up for Fun Ballet and Fun Table Tennis. outside of school, nothing. She used to have private ballet classes but I cancelled it.

Do you know how many students are there in a class? Does your girl take grading exam?

I am very particular about the type of class she takes. If she is serious about ballet, i prefer her to go to a proper school which focus on technique. If she is good at it and loves it, then she can consider to take it further.

Same for Gym. We don't go fun gym. She trains at Junior Gymnastics and goes for competition.

We were thinking of dropping gymnastic cause it might be too much and i want her to be able to focus on adapting to \"big\" girl school πŸ™‚

Any parent can advsie how many cca they sign their girl for? Do they have to do a fun one and a \"serious\" one?

I do find it odd that they do balloting rather than auditioning for ballet.
