NYPS has another benefit over SCGS - grandchildren regardless of gender will not have this problem we are facing now![/quote]
WOW! Thinking so ahead! :yikes:
Thanks great to know! -

NYPS and RGPS might not be as popular this year as they are moving to temporary schools next year and parents might not want the inconvenience of longer travel time and perceived disruption to routine when they shift back to permanent premises. Besides, distance is based on original site, and some parents might not know that, we need to have a look at the stats to be sure.
NYPS has another benefit over SCGS - grandchildren regardless of gender will not have this problem we are facing now!
If we can get a place successfully, what is inconvenience? We will sacrifice for our children. When there is a will, there is a way. -
Hi
I wanted to share that I asked the teacher at the SCGS registration table on the withdrawal process and she told me that ORIGINAL ICs of both parents are required. We will also be required to fill in a withdrawal form. I told her other schs do not require original IC to withdraw but she insisted those are MOE guidelines.
So for parents like me who might want to withdraw tomorrow, pls take note. You will need both ICs to withdraw so you and hubby cannot split up and each station at SCGS and the other school.
Thanks. -
Update!!!
A for now!!!
SCGS
45 SC for 29 seats…
I really don’t believe this…
All SC living less then 1km
All Girls born in 2006
This is not right!!! Must be many Fake addresses! / Rental addresses…
This is so unfair for OWNERS who OWN property that been living in the area for a long time… -
Personally I feel some of us hv been lulled into a false sense of security after MOE announced the SC priority rule this yr. I believe they knew there were not so many PR kids registering at P1 every yr to make a major impact.
Many PR kids are mid-streamers or could be attending int'l schs.
So kena SNOOKED big time.
My guesstimate was 50 kids vying for 29 places at SCGS. The actual number is now quite close to my estimate. Last yr's number was 43, so 50 is not an unreasonable estimate.
So question is to all SCGS parents: will u take the gamble? I still can't decide.steamystream:

That’s crazy! Odds are not in your favour guys as it stands now 16 of you will not get a place. Higher than any other previous years data for scgs. There are still 3more sessions left. You guys are really brave playing with your kid’s future like this. You do realise that plan B is going to be an atrocious school right if you plan to run to it at 2c supp.

My Friend and I both will be throwing the towel in.... Good that we waited until the 1st day to consider....
So good news parents, you have less 2 seats to fight with!!!!!
Good Luck!
\"Sorry SCGS, you miss out 2 talented girls....\" :salute: -
2 hot to handle if you recall I mentioned in my earlier post that this new rule will make no difference. Your competitors are scs. I was right about that and I will be right about the fact that you guys will regret come the 7th August if you don’t act now.

P1 Mummy promised that she's going to take care of Fake addresses.
agree with 2HotToHandle ... this year after intro changes to give SC priority, somehow different ball game. -
Steamystream wise choice… Come to smps, great school as well. Your girl will love it there trust me. It’s really much of a muchness between scgs and smps, so far smps looks far less competitive. Don’t regret later when you are stuck choosing between BHPS or First Tayoh. Those are really 3rd rate schools. Smps v scgs very marginal difference. Both schools produce young ladies who grow up to be high flying professionals and well rounded mothers. That’s more than I can say about plan C schools.
