Ye Shiwen wins gold again; breaks another world record

Ye Shiwen might only be a 16-year-old, but she is a world champion as she won gold Tuesday in the women's 200-meter individual medley. This is her second gold win at the games and fans are taking a good look at one of the fastest swimmers in the competition.
Watch caught the attention of the world first was her time and win of the 400m individual medley where she beat the world record by a second on Saturday. Then she followed up with that win doing it again with the 200-meter. While the youngster is definitely delighted, controversy is plaguing her as people are questioning how she can move so fast in the water.
Born in eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou, Ye began swimming at the age of six. Her teacher noticed she had large hands and feet and suggested swimming. After winning several swimming competitions at the age of 10 her coach predicted that she would be an Olympic champion.
In the water today the Olympic medal winner had the chance to embrace her win while the rest of the world watched. Since there is nothing more than rumors floating around, she needs to enjoy her moment as she earned it.

However, till there is a positive test result, agree dat d insinuations fr d Western press is distasteful. -

Her strength is obviously in the freestyle. If she had been doping, she would have conquered the pool. -

I did too.DH and I were watching women's table tennis last night, Ding Vs Feng. DH supported Ding (can you believe it :rant: ) while I supported Feng. The tension got so high at one stage that both of us agreed to switch to gymnastics on Okto :rotflmao: . It was a relief and a treat to watch these fantastic gymnasts.
Anyway, I think Feng has put up a good fight.
FTW put up a gud fight, but Ning had dat something extra.
At d end, I was glad SG taxpayers potentially saved at least $250 big ones. :evil: :rotflmao: -

I saw 2 very familiar-looking and supportive Singaporeans in the audience leh, that one we did pay for sure...

Marion Jones was also nvr caught doping in competitions despite numerous doping tests.
Not taking anything away fr Ye Shiwen. She shd be accorded her moments of glory in victory n not be painted as tainted till proven. -

Silver - $1/2 mil
Bronze - $250,000
If she had gone into d final, she wld take home at least $500,000.
Now she is fighting for bronze - max $250,000 lor.
Dat couple arh, don't know dis time stay in their London home or in 5,6 or 7 stars hotel.
