I am very sure many in this forum know who they are but are not foolish enough to get ourselves into trouble. That is why we have some trying desperately to make U-turn now.

nothing to U-turn, if you have ever read all the posts. u don't need to be happy or worried or try harder, haha

Oh dear, why are you responding to my post in this way? I meant to make a general comment (reminder) for all and was not a reply to any of your posts. Do not be overly paranoid. Such response may create unnecessary doubts.
no problem, no doubt

just to put it beyond doubt, for certain type of readers / forumers.

it may be a response to your post, it is also intended for whoever reads it

Funny that I would think kids from top schools would think that these are just too trivial. Would think they would be more \"mature\" and more \"dong shi\". Maybe it's just some students and not all.

        More 懂试,考试的试。not 懂事。

        since imami covered 懂试。。

Let me talk about 乘熟。。 hitch a ride to ripeness .....
😆 playing with words...
RI needs to give emphasis on moral education. Result is not everything ...

Moral education needs to start from young and from primary schools, not only RI lah

I would like to add that having strong family values and parents must also instil those moral values in their children too , don't just depend on the school . 😉
By right, parents have to instil this, for those with parents of course!

By left, school should reinforce it in their daily activities as a way to practise what they have been taught instead of just paper chase. And for those without parents, it is a good platform for them to get an exposure to what is deemed right and wrong from the activities in school as well.

It takes 2 hands to clap....

It makes me shudder to read the recent articles on educators being charged for such incidents. They ought to be good role models for their pupils and now this is happening.

On the other hand, think families and schools need to instill values as it still takes 2 hands to clap

Sometimes as parents, we can guide and coach till we drop, kids just have a mind of their own.

The more parents tighten and force to instill, the more the kids would shut them out, sometimes from the inside…

For kids of this age in a top school, parents could certainly give advice and options and warn them of the consequences of the choice they make.

Why are the parents becoming the focus on this? I just doubt this student is not aware of the consequences of his action…

I would be seriously worried for the boy if it had NEVER occured to the boy that something was not right (by having sex with his teacher or anyone for that matter).

And yes, as parents, we can preach/nag/scold all we want but still nothing went into the brain of the children.

I believe the key could be how parents bond with their children when the children are still young (e.g. Preschoolers). If the bond is strong, the children would probably have a good grasp of moral issues, have a healthy self esteem and be mindful of how they conduct themselves. They would be aware that there is a certain expectation of them (be it socially, physically, morally or academically) from the parents.

                    Moderator's Note:

Gentle reminder to all. We need to post responsibly. As the names of the people involved in the case are under embargo by the courts to protect the boy, everything posted in cyberspace is mere speculation. By posting names and pictures apparently related to the people involved, we could be doing great injustice to the parties on trial, or to innocent parties who are wrongly associated with the case.

Please refrain from posting any names or pictures of people if it is based on speculation.

                    Thank you.
