In T-score computing, the 'mean' and the SD (Std Deviation) are the key-factors. If so many students score 100/100 or A*, then both 'mean' and 'SD' will be unusually high. In that case, the T-score will be lower.tiger262:

for an easy Maths paper is def lower compared to a diffcult one,
as the mean score and the number of perfect scores pupils are def raise.
just like last year, i can cautiously said that the difficult maths paper
did contribute to a a higher T-score as seen for my gal's case and some of them whom i know.......
on the other hand, it did pull down those who did Very Badly for that Maths paper,
as some of them had gotten a T-score of abt 10 points below expectations,
resulted in not able to get into their choice of schools. -
The PSLE Math paper 2010 was too easy.
I really did not expect that. But anyway it's already 2011 and I got into my choice school so never mind.

Easy for both papers a & b.

Difficult papers, received many complaints, too easy t-score affected. Maybe should continue to set an easy paper with two difficult questions throw in- comprising a total of 9 marks under section C?

Perpahs this year 2011 Math paper will be more tough than 2010!
