how about bus/coach? do kid start build? :rotflmao:
No wonder DS1 just completed a project whereby they need to design & build a model car that is able to knock down 10 bowling pins ! Maybe next time no need buy cars from dealers, get the students to build one ! Save $$$ :rotflmao: -

No need to know how to fly. Just need to be able to build an aircraft propelled purely by wind and able to carry the applicant from NUSH to NUS campus. :evil:jtoh:

I tot only abt 70+ out there ? Maybe next time DSA schools expect the kids to know how to fly too :rotflmao: -
If Dd applied for 5 schools and all schools called her for interview, will she spoil her chance of getting a confirm offer if she admit that she dsa 5 schools. Is this a very important consideration for the interviewer?

I suppose the interviewer will question why your DD choose 4 other schools other than theirs? So this question need to be tackled carefully n handled with tender care. -

This was the question to my DS \" How many school you applied\" and he honestly told 3 schools in total. U need to be careful if the question is \" if you have CO from X & Y school , which school will you choose\"Love iPad:

She was asked this question and she list all 5 schools but her classmate who dsa the same school as us said she only dsa 2 schools so we wonder if we have killed our chance.
A lesson learnt. When it is my ds turn, we will have to be more selective and not be so K S. -

My one cents thoughts.
When my DS attended Science camp at HCI, they were told to build cars as well. Looks like, car dealers will face problems in future.. :rotflmao: oopss :offtopic:
1. If DC's know how to build cars then why study Sec 1. Atleast NUSH did nt :pokeeye: with such out of boundary questions They explained the experiment and observed how the kids performed and how they presented the details to the teacher and team work and leadership and their passion to what they do.
2. I dont think just getting SMOPS platinum will open doors to NUSH , DC's need to perform well in Science .I am sure KP's coming to Sat Tea Ceremony will know why when princi go thru the break downs of subject. It is really really very deep and kids have to have high interest in subject.
3. This year around 242 students had atleast one MO certificate but If you see the records only around 20 to 25 names are repeated (RI top 50, NMOS -30, SMOPS Gold/Platinum, APMOPS). Just having one MO cert is not
enough, there should be sustained performance shown.

DD was interviewed together with a whole batch of Sports Dsa gals for RGS. On Tues, there were 4 groups of 3 girls being interviewed. Heard that today was also reserved for Sports dsa interviews. For DD's sport I believe they are only intending to admit 2 girls under dsa.

no lah, leeven. HCI did not just leave it to the kids to build cars. The boys from HCI actually guide them through, using chemicals to build the engine.

I agree with you that the subjects in NUSH is indeed very deep. This is precisely why I discourage my DS to apply for NUSH. DS has high interest in Math, but not really so for Science. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought it's necessary for the child to be equally good in both subjects in order to qualify for NUSH. Since there're more talks on MO, maybe many of us has forgotten the fact that NUSH is not only looking at Math, but also Science. Other than this, it's leadership.
One of my colleague's DS was DSA to NUSH 2 years ago. He did not have any certificate & he's from mainstream. However, he's very out-spoken. My colleague told me that her DS was verbally told that he'll be selected during the camp cos he displayed the leadership skill.
