Titank, what is your rationale for recommending Cantonment? It's a new school and likewise, hasn't 为校争光, if that is what you are looking at.


Remember two years ago when RMPS didn't perform so well at PSLE, the top scorer for Blangah Rise was actually higher than RMPS'. I am not sure of the other statistics, though.

I was told that last year RMPS PSLE top pupil was transferred from Blangah Rise Primary School, poor Blangah Rise Primary School. if good pupil always try to transfer to other school before PSLE, how to espect the school to 为校争光

If you are going by the caregiver route, you will be in the 1-2 km category, even though your mother stays right next to the school.

Heard from other mum, when pick my son from cc that, Ges 1 to 2km in, need ballot outside 2 km. she said GESP very good nowsaday - So some intend to hv kid there, good news? But how good I would like to know, so far only 1 mentioned good this thread here. Anymore existing parents can contribute?

I am a super kiasu mum. I have 2 girls. The older one is only 2.5 years old this month but i am already planning which sch I wish to enrol her in. Hahaha.

I stay in Tiong Bahru and my first choice is River Valley Pri but based on registration history, i think i need to do PV there. (This year,those in 1-2km still safe under Phase 2B.)

My second choice is either CHIJ Kellock or Zhangde. ZDPS is just 200metres away from my block!

Everyone would probably tell me to go for CHIJ straightaway(since i have 2 girls) and i do not mind but i am hoping that i will get a son in a few years' time so.....better think ahead now. Hahaha. Kiasu hor?

Like that aim for ZDPS in case you have another boy you do not have to worry. Now P1 Registration there are many unexpected situation happens. Gan Eng Seng & Zhangde Pri never in hostory require balloting in Phase 2C, meaning at 1km. :stompfeet:

Hi All,

Just failed to get in my daughter to CHIJ Kellock because we're PR within 1-2km.

Now looking at other school as alternative even though I don't have much choice. I'm thinking about BRPS because it's very close to my place.
Anybody can brief me about BRPS? Seems that this is the least popular school in Bukit Merah area.

How is it compare to other school such as Cantonment (which is apparently a new school but seem more popular), Stamford, Newton, Queenstown?

Blangah Rise Pri is the least sought after in Bt Merah area probably since the year 2000. Generally the school in certain way perform below the National level PSLE standards. Hope I am not wrong as I have a quick browse of the school website.

Cantonment Pri this time round being popular I guess it happen to be in the media last year. So that could be the reason it appear as a dark horse in this year P1 registration.
