I hope you don't miss it by a year. Registration should be 2013,
and starting P1 in 2014! šŸ˜‰

Wahahaha.... thanks for the correction.... oops.... trying to keep him pre school as ong as i can.... ahhahaha. Pri school so stressful! I'm really keen to send him to a neighbourhood school so that not so competitive and less stressful.
If you know of families doing that, you can always report them to the school or MOE! :nunchuk:

I didnt know i could but now, definitely will if i hear of it. actually most of them use grandparent's address... which is legitimate cos they said need grandparents will be caregivers after school.
Hi Kitab,

Actually you are not at a losing end if you are < 1km away from the school. For those who use their grandparent address to register, they will be classified as < 2km. In this case, I don't think they are a threat to you.

this year, one parent encountered difficulty because MOE does not recognize her caregiver (whom she claim to be) as the primary caregiver, because she placed her child into a childcare centre. MOE reject her case. You may read about it.

Thus pls check with MOE first. Do not assume that grandparents are automatically accepted as caregivers after school.

It is good to know that there are proper controls in place.

hi all, first time posting.

I have a peculiar case here.
I have both DD and DS born in 2007, not twins but different month.
if i registered them for P1, will the school take them in as 1 group, same as twins?
If so, will I get 4 ballot tickets or 2 tickets?

I suggest you clarify from MOE as soon as possible. It may take them one whole year to decide. Don't want to leave it to the last minute then panic. If it were me, I would argue that they should be treated the same as twins.

According to my colleague who has two girls born in February and December of the same year, MOE treats them as 2 separate applications, cannot be considered as a combined application like twins. They registered this year.

it will be a lot of logistics involved if one gets in and the other don't....

reporting... šŸ™‚ Currently staying within 1km of 3pri sch. One branded, the other one not too bad raves and another it's a girls' pri sch. Got 2 kids one boy and one girl... my son is born in 2007. Thus planning to choose the other not so bad rave pri sch for him and my girl. šŸ™‚ Planning to skip the brand name one. šŸ™‚ Now already doing PV at the pri sch. šŸ™‚ I think the kids would love the school. šŸ™‚ It's NAPS. šŸ™‚
