I was in the 2013 in-take thread for the passed few days and I can feel the stress mood there already.
I was very kan cheong and nervous for my niece. Luckily she managed to get into CHIJ Katong under >2km without balloting…
I can’t imagine when my turn comes… I think I will have sleepless night from the start of registration opening… -
In previous years, you may still stand a chance.
But with the new \"Singaporeans first\" priority, I doubt you can get through to the schools of your choice without balloting.
See official MOE website: http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/ -
wow...the backup choice for my also need to balloting somemore within 1km... and i am living within 1km....stress!! :faint:

No need to stress... Just stick to alumni if you qualify. If you really don't like the school then, try for waiting list to transfer.
Based on this year's results, all schools with good reputation needs balloting within 1km. -

Hi All
Wow I guess I am kinda late to check in here with my DD2 born in 2008.
I would like to know if it is too late to join GRL to qualify for phase 2B??
My DD1 has been balloted out of her school of choice hence this predicament for my DD2. Well actually at this moment we are still trying to pick the best choice in 2CS.Don’t like to have the same bad dream again in 2014 registration. Maybe this time it will be different. -
Hi!
My DS is also in the 2008 club, and I am seriously very nervous!
Currently am staying with in-laws as our place in Punggol is not ready yet, and the thing is, it will only be ready in 2015 (supposed to be in 2016), the year DS is in P1.
Hopefully it will be ready slightly earlier though, so that we wouldn’t have to face the problem of transport.
Initially wanted to enrol him in YZPS in Serangoon cos its within 1km of our current NRIC address but come to think of it, better not since we will be moving to our own place by 2016 (at most).
Wanted to put him in Horizon (1-2km) but looking at this year’s registration, seems like there will be balloting for SC living within 1-2km.
Not sure whether to go do PV to be in 2B or just go for 2C in Punggol View which also seems like a upcoming school to watch out for. -
Anyone from the Bukit Merah side? Was considering River Valley Pri, so I went to their website and it states PV for 2008 kids have already been closed. Made me start to worry. I m an old girl from CHIJ Kellock but I’m thinking of puttin my gal in a co-ed school. I am considering between Radin Mas (1-2km from my place) and River Valley Pri (within 1km). Its rather risky to go for Radin Mas as they close all reg within 1km. So safer bet is still River Valley, but its still balloting for the within 1km. Any advice on which is a better school? Thanks.

phtthp:
IF phase 2B - grassroot, PV and live more than 2km also no use right?since Rosyth eliminate PV, the only way out now come under phase 2B is Grassroot. No other choice. i won't dare to think of phase 2C for Rosyth, bec the heat of competition is too intense.
under Grassroot, can also get to choose other schools besides Rosyth.
