Maybe ur DH will start taking more interest in ur kid's education
n find excuses like kid is falling behind in class, need to meet teacher to discuss ways to improve.
:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

And some men still can't figure out the common saying where getting married is indeed digging the grave for your relationship with the lady, not taking it to the next level.
ya the next level is the lower level according to your context ..... correct wat ....

Not really that way la, we understand each other better after getting married. He entrusted everything to me (the home, his child, his parents, his car, his money etc) while he travels for work and he travels a lot. That's quite a higher level from the past when I would just turn and run at the sight of. Cockroach.

I would like to add that having strong family values and parents must also instil those moral values in their children too , don't just depend on the school .Lynn2010:
RI needs to give emphasis on moral education. Result is not everything ...
Moral education needs to start from young and from primary schools, not only RI lah

I totally agree. Moral values should be instilled at home. parents, we are our children best teachers cos we love them unconditionally and thus we will want to impart and instill GOOD moral values in our little ones. please dun wait or have to wait for teachers may it be secondary, primary or presch teachers or worst still baby care teachers to instill values to our kids.
Yes teachers and schools will do their part but as parents we are our children first teachers. Dun everything also push to school to teach.
sadly these days parents so busy working and they hardly see their kids... They expect school teachers to be surrogate parents. -

I would be contented if teachers could teach enough to prepared them for what the school will be testing them.fightingmom:

Other stuff (like moral education etc.., and watever not tested in exams) are best left to the parents.
If the school teaches extra, that is fine.. But I would not expect them to do so.
Somehow I feel some school are quite pro-active and enthusiastic to teach morals and what not servant leader stuff and such.. Not a bad thing lah.. for the society..
Whatever it is, school cannot be held responsible for a student's moral values.. That is still under the parent's responsibility and liability.. -

Schools help to emphasize if parents can teach, and if parents can't, then schools will become helpful. Remember as kids last time we listen to most moral education stories from our teachers and really benefited from them in life. Parents do teach but some of them use the wrong method, like canning, scolding vulgarities ... Some more when comes to teenage age, students tend to listen to teachers more.
