        Is Chongfu a sap school?

Not SHHK schools are SAP schools. Only Tao Nan, Kwong Hwa & Ai Tong are SAP schools.

                Yup, agreed with vk2010.

As posted earlier, A SAP school has programmes that helps enhancing students the learning of Chinese language, culture and values.

The school could introduce programmes like reciting 唐诗,弟子规,calligraphy, Chinese poetry reciting / competition , Chinese story telling within the school or inter-school competition within the same zone or organise immersion programme to China , etc to expose the students more towards understanding and appreciating the Chinese language, culture and values.

                  Am I right:

                  1) If P1 goes to SAP school, will start HCL from P1 but can drop HCL to Normal at P4.

                  2) If P1 goes to non SAP school, will start with Normal Chinese but can opt/teacher can recommend to take HCL at P4?

                  Isit correct hah? TIA.

                  😄

SAP school is not for every child bcos of compulsory HCL. My son is in a SAP school. As we speak mainly English at home, Higher Chinese was really tough in the earlier years. Afraid he can't manage, I spent more time coaching him. Ended up, his English suffered. When he was not recommended for HCL in P5, we dropped it for normal Chinese.
Higher chinese is really no joke...really zapped a lot of attention and time from the other equally impt subjects.

yes of course can, else where got so many kids doing HCL across the island ? (eg Rulang)

basically the diff of HCL are the few additional chapters at the back of the HCL text, plus the exam paper format being different - which need a higher language skill eg not possible to do direct lifting in answering compre questions
