      "Called MOM.

These R wat the Officer Say :
      1. Maid insurance only covers them while they R in Spore.
      2. If they R overseas (say go to JB, or Go Back for Home Leave), Employer is Not Liable, and Insurance is Not Covered.
      3. Conversely, Even When Maid is On their OFF Days, No Matter wat they did, If they got injured while Off Duty, or even to land themselves in Hospital due to their own Action, etc, Employer is Still 100% Liable for ALL their Medical and Incidental Charges.

I Ask the Officer isn’t Point 3 above Bias, and Not Fair to Employers? Afterall, we Cannot be Tagging along to Babysit them, to oversee wat they do on their OFF Days, Right?

      Her Advice -
Write to MOM on their FeedBack Section …

So … U Think MOM will Reply?"

What about we petition tis matter to MOM?

Will that make any difference? I seriously don't think so. This is the typical double standards that employers face.

We are expected to treat our FDWs as mature adults, but at the same time we are expected to treat them as children by being responsible for everything when they are in this country!

            And ....
            Case \"Closed\"

Stale excuses. It is always that 'someone is sick, dying...'. Not that we have no 'heart', but we have to protect ourselves too. What if it turns out to be untrue and she intends not to return for good?

Shebeautiful: I do wonder, would she have the $$ to go home on her own expenses? One way is that she can just say she wants to go home. period. And in fact you would need to purchase a single journey ticket at your expense. However, if she wants home leave (assuming she has intention to come back), then she would need to purchase return fare. So one way is to make sure (or find out) if she is purchasing return ticket.

Also, in the meantime, prudent to check with agent on your case. See what they says wrt loan, etc - assuming you have written out a series of postdated cheques for her loan, right? So see how all that works out.

You should bring her back to agent and let them talk to her. You should not do or talk anything further with her. Don't let her have a chance to tell story.
