Oh great, hope to meet you at the orientation then. Thanks for pointing out the names. Wasnt active on such forums if not for my DDs P1 exercise this year so didnt realise it. Guess I will be on the forum more frequent in months to come.It is indeed a great relief for me and now I can truly enjoy my PH on thurs! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks, blue belt and brown belt for your info. I called operator and she say there is a route for pasir ris. Confirmed with school that there is no in house student care centre.

Can I check if there are CCA for P1s so far?
No CCA for P1 & P2. Did the school inform you whether your child will be in morning or afternoon session? The school aims to switch to single session from next year onward. But I think the upgrading is unlikely to complete by end of this year. Most probably in-house student centre & single session will starts in 2014.

            Hi Orange Belt,

There are 180 SCs staying within 1 km (including pair of twins) balloting in the exercise. I was quite shocked as I expected some staying more than 1 km might try but parents are getting wiser to know that its almost impossible to get in. So out of 179 balls, 59 are picked. There wasnt any big hurray or reaction from those who balloted in (including myself as I went alone). My DDs childcare fren's dad was there too and didnt get in even though he stayed 2 blks away. Rather disappointed but luckily springdale is nearby too so that one is going to be a popular choice for those who didnt get NCPS. I must say its quite an experience for me.
So your girl is one of the lucky one. I had similar experience 6 years ago. You will not see anyone staying more than 1 km, the school rejected such application on registration days. Those who did not get in usually pick the newer schools.

NCPS was not in the MOE list of Pri schools going single session in 2013. It keeps delaying...sigh, construction is too slow from what I observe. Schools like Rosyth that shifted to alternate site will be faster as construction can be in full scale and force. Anyway, it doesn't affect me anymore since my boy will be in P3 next yr, morning session no matter what.

                  Hi Mummsy so kiasu,

I called and was told that most likely after second half of the year will be single session so first half still afternoon session for P1. As for plans for in house student care, there are no plans yet. I thought I saw some presentation slides on their upgrading works and only recall seeing additional classrooms and teacher area and 2 more foodstalls, etc, dont think there was anything mentioned on in-house student care centre. Keeping my fingers crossed they will provide cos its so much more convenient and better for the children to be within the same premises.

I had received survey forms from the school regarding in house child care centre for the past few years. Maybe the respond was not too good & they dropped the idea. It will be more convenient for the parents if there is one.
