hi parents, as my 1st son could not went into southview in the balloting phase, we are quite lost now.


could someone advise us whether which schools is better Concord,Unity or Teck whye, Kranji as all these schools are at least more than 2km away from our house.

Sorry to hear that. Actually, where are you staying?
My opinion is for you to try Concord or Unity first as these are better schools compared to Teck Whye & Kranji.

Sorry, you did not get your child in 4 years ago. How about transferring him into DLS this year? Its never too late to get a catholic education.

I doubt DLS would want my son even if there is vacancy. His results no good as he is a little ADHD.

Based on guts feel, Unity is best amongst these 4. At the same time, it is the furthest as it is at the end -- CCK Crescent. Next could be Kranji / Concord.

since u go ballot for south view i guess you should be within 1 km to southview? If yes concord might be within 1km to you. Cant be all is more than 2km. U can check out the actual distance before deciding.

Unity should be the most popular ones among the 4 school. If you are more than 1km to Unity then u might not have chance to ballot in Phase 2C supp.

personally i do prefer Kranji then Teck whye.

Hi,

Unity left with 16 places for phase 2CS. It will be rather competitive for those applicants outside 2km. Kranji Pri will be a better option to secure a plc for your DS.

Somehow, vacancies @ Unity has became 15 instead of 16 after the close of P2C ballotting.

I do agree that competition for Unity @ P2CS is tough. SC within 1km would have been admitted to DLS, YTPS & Unity in previous phases. Hence, the no of SC within 1 km going for Unity would be minimal unless there are SC who went for ballotting for other schs outside CCK area & fail will apply Unity @ this phase. In my opinion, give it a shot @ Unity. If really fail again, I believe MOE will post you to Kranji or Teck Whye since no of vacancies in these 2 sch are plenty. Just my 2 cents. But this plan comes with a risk la. On the otherhand, you may want to consider Concord since it is nearer to you. Think it over carefully over the weekend. Cheers
