Dear mummies. Congrats and Welcome to the SCGS family. Your gals will most certainly have an enjoyable time ahead. Likewise you will form many wonderful friendship from like-minded mummies in the school. Stay engaged by volunteering your time as a PV. Enjoy the ride and embrace the traffic;)
The good side about that horrible traffic is....I hone my driving and parking skills.

Hi alng
it's v quiet at the SCGS parents' networking forum so I'll ask u here. I know there is no after school care in SCGS. Do you know what other parents do for after sch care? I am working FT and I hope my daughter can spend her time somewhere else after school instead of being home with my MIL and the TV...alng:

This is OT. Actually I have one grouse: I see a lot of parents blantantly flouting traffic rules every morning: drive across double white line to do a U-turn on Dunearn Rd, turning illegally from the main road instead of using the slip road (which is dangerous for kids crossing the road at the junction), etc. :faint: There was one lagi best, he/she parked the car next to the island, reducing the traffic to a single lane and left the car there (during dismissal time). Dunno it is need to go :imconstipated: -

I totally agree with this. And that traffic junction is very dangerous even not during the morning peak hours. I have witnessed some near accidents before. The construction there has made things worse. I actually prohibit my dd to cross the road using that traffic lights when she has to cross that road once a week to get to the bus stop opposite to go for her tuition. I get her to cross the road via the overhead bridge instead. -
