Time flies, our darlings are going to primary one already.

Is it to early to shop for school bags?

my DD is born 6 Mar 2006, Pri 1 CHIJ OQLP (Upper Bukit Timah) next year.

hi to all kiasu parents here…! a toast to finishing the pre-school milestone (almost). my DD is now rehearsing for their end of year concert! also received her graduation photo (mixed feelings)-- not a baby anymore and both worried/excited/anxious at the same time that she will be facing new challenges next year…

wow...your boy read chapter books already? any series u can recommend?

my boy prefers non-fiction. he look at the many words and little pictures of chapter books and will go 😓 too many words.

u can try Stilton books, they are as attractive n interesting
or the library has many interesting chapter books, eg, DC super pets

            Hi,

Stilton books are indeed interesting and funny! My DS enjoys reading them so much that he can't get enough of them. I guess it's quite addictive!!! 😂

Mine ds2 tuition on chinese and math. Can't find a english one suitable as he can read and I just want something to help in creative writing.

TAS timing no good for us.
              Hi Jedamum,

May I know if the math tuition your DS2 is having now a 1 to 1 tuition or enrichment class? Cos I have been thinking of enrolling my DS for it. As for my son's english class with I can Read, I thought of changing him to another center cos he's able to read now. I would like to find one that can strengthen his grammar and also creative writing. Anyone here has any recommendations?

Ds1 used to like stilton, but my ds2 does not like. He said too wordy and weird vocabulary. I think his vocabulary is still quite limited for fiction books so he prefers to read non fiction.

I read that tas is popular for english. They do not have the p1weekend slot that I want. I am waiting for ICL p1 enrolment, if can't get a slot to coincide with ds1 slot, we will try the neighbourhood centre.

For math, it is not one to one. My boy is with math hub. Mostly non drill questions, tangram and games to instillI
Interest in math. They just introduce multiplication concepts this week. A recap of what I had taught my boy at home. He enjoys the games segment.
