So far school is into the 2nd term and my child is enjoying his time here!
We just had the parents teacher conference / meeting before the school holidays. Saw the progress report, they called it pupils’ portfolio because of some PERI implementation… In short, i find their files very colourful and fun looking!! Of cos, more to improve on!

As for the facilities, i only saw once during the 1st day of school when the school conducted the school tour, cant recall much. But it looks kinda different from the normal primary school? I only remember seeing a playground beside the canteen! How I wish we have that during our time!

The P1 teachers were very proactive in giving feedbacks and updates on my child. I find that good!

hello everyone there ,got to enrol my kids this year for P1.considering between KCPS and Guangyang.Only thing bothering about Guangyang is why every year take up rate is so low.can any one there pls advice.Thanks in advance.

Hi Funny Parent!

Fret not!We been through that frantic period!
Reason being guangyang's low take up rate is because (based on the homework that i've done last year) they were surrounded by all the 'branded' schools like Aitong, Cat High and others. And they were also not at Bishan for 2 years. So thats why it has low take up rate.
However, given their new building, during 2012 intake, the number of classes has increased! This year, they have 6 classes of P1! Hope this helps!

Is this similar to the one last year? I attended last year at the same place with a similar name. haha!
I thought this was pretty helpful, it kinda prep us what to expect on the first day and through there i also know what to PACK for my child's school bag! Otherwise, i think i am gonna load EVERYTHING into the bag! PHEW!! :yikes:

We didn’t get our 1st choice school at Phase 2C and now debating btw Townsville and Guangyang. Don’t quite like the fact that Townsville is double session. So wondering if Guangyang will be a better choice. What worries me is the low enrolment despite the new premises.

I would be grateful for any feedback (good and bad). Thanks!

I would prefer a school that is single session, its really easier on the children. Imagine your child having to adjust to morning session eventually, that's tough. Hey, Guangyang Primary School was in the news yesterday, headline - Straits Times. I saw the video on PM Lee's facebook, the children in Guangyang were performing Handbells at Istana recently. The children are very confident and talented! I think we should not be looking at statistics alone.
