Hey, there is a Parent Seminar for parents with Primary One going children. \"Primary one education at a glance\". I think it's useful for parents who want to know about preparing their children for first days of school. Check it out

Is this similar to the one last year? I attended last year at the same place with a similar name. haha!
I thought this was pretty helpful, it kinda prep us what to expect on the first day and through there i also know what to PACK for my child's school bag! Otherwise, i think i am gonna load EVERYTHING into the bag! PHEW!! :yikes: -
Hi everyone,
We didn’t get our 1st choice school at Phase 2C and now debating btw Townsville and Guangyang. Don’t quite like the fact that Townsville is double session. So wondering if Guangyang will be a better choice. What worries me is the low enrolment despite the new premises.
I would be grateful for any feedback (good and bad). Thanks! -
Hi myang
I would prefer a school that is single session, its really easier on the children. Imagine your child having to adjust to morning session eventually, that's tough. Hey, Guangyang Primary School was in the news yesterday, headline - Straits Times. I saw the video on PM Lee's facebook, the children in Guangyang were performing Handbells at Istana recently. The children are very confident and talented! I think we should not be looking at statistics alone.
Check out PM's lee facebook on 8 Aug.

Hi
I am (PR S’pore)new to this forum. Will be relocating to Spore shortly from India. My son who is 8 years old has been offered admission at GYPS for P3 (we will be residing at Toa payoh north)
appreciate some thoughts on the foll:
1. the street directory says that school is ard 5.8 km. Will i be able to find transportation services for this distance. Will the pick up time be too early
I am really worried about the distance. Also none of the schools at Toa payoh have vacancy at the moment
2. Any feedback about the school as such. Saw mixed feedback on the forum.
However they have moved recently to the new building with many new facilities.
3. I have been told that I can wait list my son at the toa payoh schools.
Does it work that way…I mean will i really be able to change my son to a school at Toa payoh later.
Thanks -
This is the school that the Malay boy from 2005 Top PSLE student to receive President Scholarship appeared in the newspaper yesterday. He is 19 yrs old now from RI.
P1-3 in Guangyang. P4 studied Rosyth GEP. -
