Saw this blog in MotherKao.com on her experience with Eye Level.
my nieces in K2 and P3 are in one of the centres for English and Math programmes respectively. Teachers there provides feedback on academic progress (progress chart) and study behaviour. That's good, most enrichment centre seems to be in a rush, never stopping to feedback on children's progress. Can try!

RE: Guangyang Primary
Hi New2SgEdu, saw your post, couldn't resist to share what I know about Guangyang Primary School.
I have a close friend and her 2 children went to Guangyang Primary. The older two boys graduated and they did well for PSLE! Teachers I heard, are very caring and they will go a very long way to motivate the children especially during stressful PSLE. Anyway, my friend has trusted her youngest daughter to Guangyang Primary this year. Now she is in Primary One. The little girl is enjoying school.
Have you checked out the school website? I like it, they have interesting programme for the children. You could tell the children are genuinely happy.

My friend says that Guangyang Primary is going to have an Open House next week or so. Call them to find out? It will be good, right?
Take care! -

RE: Guangyang Primary
Hi myang
I would prefer a school that is single session, its really easier on the children. Imagine your child having to adjust to morning session eventually, that's tough. Hey, Guangyang Primary School was in the news yesterday, headline - Straits Times. I saw the video on PM Lee's facebook, the children in Guangyang were performing Handbells at Istana recently. The children are very confident and talented! I think we should not be looking at statistics alone.
Check out PM's lee facebook on 8 Aug.

RE: [Bishan] Primary Schools
Hi Jiangnan
For student care centre within the schools, Guangyang Primary school in Bishan has one for a few years already. It is within the school compound so it is safe for the children. Children are happy coz the school building is new, the facilities like the student care centre is conducive for the children too. Yes I agree working moms like us need help after school. Worth considering, go check it out. -
RE: Guangyang Primary
Marzuki, I am very surprised at your comments abt GY. I live close to the school and my neighbours are parents there. They are ok with the school, teachers and the Principal. Honestly, I have seen the changes in the school and am glad that a neighbourhood school like GY is making progress in their PSLE result. Shouldn't we be gracious, give GY a pat on the shoulder and cheer them on?

RE: [Bishan] Primary Schools
My nephew is in GYPS P1 this year. The school program for P1 is quite interesting! My sister likes the PAL program they have for the children. This term, I heard there is a Swimming Program for the P1. Earlier this year, there are Budding Science program and Drama program.. My nephew likes to go to school, he has been telling me about his classmates and teachers. We want happy children, right?

RE: Which school got in-house Student Care Centre?
I know Guangyang Primary School in Bishan has a in house student care centre. Shouldnโt that be the trend for schools in singapore? With so many of us working, would prefer to have our kids in in-house student care in the sch then student care somewhere else. Least the sch is safer.
