Hello, I would have preferred Northland but this school is too popular (past years always need to ballot for places). Besides, Peiying is closer to our house & the PCF student care nearby seems like a logical/efficient arrangement for us

I will be facing the same problem as what you had next year. If northland turns me down, I will get my girls to Pei Ying. Have you considered navel base? If not, why? Tks.

Can i know for Northland what phase your girl will be in?
Do u stay within 1km from Northland and Pei Ying?
Coz if based on this year, for phase 2C supp Pei Ying only left 26 vacancy. So it'll be bit risk if u opt to choose PY at phase 2C supp. But of course all this is just prediction coz we nvr know what will happen in next year. And also depend where you stay too. I heard this year for Northland, Singaporean stay within 1km also need to ballot under phase 2C. This info was from a frenz of mine whom is just like you still thinking to choose Northland or PeiYing, but she'll only need to register in another 2 yrs later.

Hi all, any good tuition/enrichment centres nearby to recommend. Heard that P1 has to do 'show & tell' for English & the maths questions are also quite tricky. Currently, my girl attending CMA at Chong Pang.

Felicia09, thank you for the message. Yeah, I am aware that I need to be mindful to decided if I can put a bet on northland. Frankly speaking, I do hear mix comments regarding northland.


I have managed to talk to someone know pei ying. I am a bit concerned with two things:

1) Acadamic: especially on the Chinese as they do not provide higher level Chinese.

2) Environment: I have been to the school myself. The environment is not really that great. But I am not sure how it will turn out after its upgrading work, starting in 2014, right?

there is a KUMON just oppsite Khatib MRT. You can give it a try. It is not bad, but got home work everyday.

Hi Mitr, I heard that Kumon basically hands out worksheets to their students to do during the class. Unsure if the teachers do any real teaching. Can share experience?
