Hi!
Can i check if anyone recently renewed their Filipino maid’s passport?
May i know what kind of "employment contract" do they accept?
And how abt the waiting time (wkdays)? Is it still as long as what some mummies mentioned in the earlier posts? -
carebear:
:thankyou:It was a breeze at the Indonesian embassy today.
It took < 1 hour
!
I went there early after sending my kids to school to avoid the peak traffic. Arrived there at 8:15 am, parked along bishopgate and walked about 200 m before reaching the embassy. There was a queue at the waiting area before you enter. 9am sharp they open the counter and we each had to exchange a card for a pass. Any card with your name on it can as long as it is NOT a business card, ic , work permit or passport. They accept isetan card, link card, club membership card etc.
As uncle lim had previously mentioned, go to Level 1, take a quene number from the machine located between counter 2 and 3, then wait for the number to be called.
Green form to fill in particulars - this can be downloaded from the embassy website, fill it up first at home. If not then after getting the number, immediately go to the left of the counter, on the wall there are the forms and an English translation of it on the wall.
When your number is called,
Proceed to counter 1 or 2.
Get ready the following : maid passport and its copy ( page 2 and 3 and the last page)
Work permit and its copy
Employer nric and its copy
2 maid photos in white background, matte not glossy
The completed form
$35
Then you will be given a payment slip which you will collect at counter 3.
Then you proceed to level 2 for a short interview.
After that you wait for a short while before they give you the collection slip and the working agreement.
Another working agreement will be given to your maid for application of the KTKLN card if she is returning for home leave.
Collection of passport is 2 working days form today ie 14 oct 3 to 5 pm and can be done by anyone who has the same residential address as the employer.
The tips here are awesome!!
Renewed helper's passport this morning. Whole process took us only 40 minutes!
We did many things beforehand - filled the form we printed from online & took her pic at our neighbourhood. My helper simply gave the photog the embassy requirements I'd printed.
We ensured we were 1st in line & we zoomed to q no. dispenser. As others were busy filling up the green form, we were making our way to the 2nd floor for the interview. -
Hi
My indonesia helper contract is expiring in Oct. Am now looking at whether to renew her contract ourselves or through agency. Have some queries about how to go about it should we renew it ourselves.
1) Have to renew her passport first as it has less than 2 years validity, so could we renew her passport and settle the new working agreement on the same day at the embassy, with her current WP?
2) If we go embassy to do the new agreement say this month, will they date it to start the new contract as at Oct?
3) Upon collecting the new passport, then renew her WP? Which is less hassle, to renew the WP with NTUC Income or MOM?
Thanks a lot in advance! -

I'd like to check with anyone who has renewed Indonesian passport for maid recently. Carebear mentioned above that \"we each had to exchange a card for a pass\". Does this mean the maid must exchange a card as well? Since my maid may only have work permit and passport both of those will be needed for the application inside right? (I haven't actually asked if she has any other card, but she has a mobile phone). It was a breeze at the Indonesian embassy today.

Thanks for all the guidance and tips on this topics. I managed to renew my Indonesian maid’s passport plus work contract in one hour yesterday, even though I only arrived there at 9.30am (after dropping my DD off for PSLE oral). There was no queue. When I finished the passport business, went back to the school to collect DD, she hadn’t even finished her oral. I took half-day off, managed to "kill two birds with one stone".

The Indonesian embassy website stated that processing time for Indo foreign workers is 3 working days.
Does it mean that if we submit on Monday, can only collect on Friday?
Thanks. -
Karrine:
My maid just started work with me for few months but her passport is going to expiry in May 2013. When i took her, the agent did not inform me about her passport validity. What is the interview at embassy about?I just did my Indonesian Maid PP renewal yday, it took me about 1.5hrs, I was lucky that the interview went well, i told him i'm giving her an increase to S$450 from S$ 340 with no off days, he didnt even persuade me to give her off days as i read online that they will persuade the employers to give them off days.
Please photocopy all docs before hand as they charged at S$ 0.50/pc. And for the photos, my maid has some balance of the photos she took and when i asked the photo shop cashier from the embassy, they said cannot therefore she re-took however it turned out that her photos she had was much clearer and nicer.
