"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

I am simply aghast when I read the blame being laid at the g’ments feet for what is essentially a personal decision.

"Price to parent in Singapore is simply overly high!"

      Seriously??

      Who’s the one measuring ROI?

agree... this is my severe gripe. the U*A seem to have a KPI to make sure every piece of \"old thing\" is taken away and redeveloped. As if it is such an sore eye

:rotflmao: this is another one - tearing down 'old things'. If this continues, we will never have anything that is of historical value.

Whenever I am in Europe, I never fail to be in awe that, \"oh, this church is 700+ years old!\" or \"ah, that bridge is 300+ years old!\"

How many buildings/churches/temples/bridges/roads/whatever do we have in Singapore that is at least 80 years old? okok, 50 years old leh?

You are writing out of context. Here we are saying that ROI is measure by the govt for success and the price for upbringing children is overly high compared to other nations like Finland etc.
'Seriously?' probably you dont pay much for your children that is why.
