      Daddy 😧
      Wan:

Sunday times headlines- Get married, have babies

Invest pg 30 - begin saving as soon as child is born. $55k for local U...2 kids $110k
      How ironical...

SG is too overhyped on investment thingy... everything must have a price on it... everything must have ROI...

      Parenting is priceless

      :celebrate:

      Well said !! :goodpost:
But ... ... ROI is the measure of success by our govt. this applies even in the making of babies unfortunately.
The reward parent gets from parenting is indeed priceless but the price to parent in Singapore is simply overly high !

"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

I am simply aghast when I read the blame being laid at the g’ments feet for what is essentially a personal decision.

"Price to parent in Singapore is simply overly high!"

        Seriously??

        Who’s the one measuring ROI?

agree... this is my severe gripe. the U*A seem to have a KPI to make sure every piece of \"old thing\" is taken away and redeveloped. As if it is such an sore eye

:rotflmao: this is another one - tearing down 'old things'. If this continues, we will never have anything that is of historical value.

Whenever I am in Europe, I never fail to be in awe that, \"oh, this church is 700+ years old!\" or \"ah, that bridge is 300+ years old!\"

How many buildings/churches/temples/bridges/roads/whatever do we have in Singapore that is at least 80 years old? okok, 50 years old leh?
