ah mine is 08 bb as well. according to the forum/papers (cant rem exact source) , pv within 2km got in, the 1 who didnt get in was outside of 2km. quite sad for that poor chap, i mean they really want their kids in and really spent time n effort to PV. Given the fact that they are outside of 2km, it means they wouldnt have got in during 2C as well. sighhhh.. stress..

yes. 08 baby... i stay opp SCGS now and it takes only 8 mins to walk to the school. but not within 2km to st margarets. will also apply to PV at st margarets. did not monitor on the registration for that school this year. did all the PV get in?
Yes all P2B got in, if I am not wrong. A friend of mine PV there and her daughter got in this year. They stayed outside 2km.

SMPSah mine is 08 bb as well. according to the forum/papers (cant rem exact source) , pv within 2km got in, the 1 who didnt get in was outside of 2km. quite sad for that poor chap, i mean they really want their kids in and really spent time n effort to PV. There were 68 vacancies in P2B.
35 applied under this phase (PVs, GRLs, church), all got in and the remainder vacancies went to P2C.
P2C vacancies 68+33=101.
102 SCs applied under this phase. Those living >2km went for ballot and all got a place except 1.
There were not many PVs last year as this school traditionally has plenty of vacancies. Next year, there should be more PVs in SMPS and the school should be getting selective....
Those who have time should PV in SMPS if you want to avoid P2C stress. -
for SMPS, if you are confirmed Anglican member, you are in phase 2B

all the time up to 2011, St Margaret and Marymount were sleeping, dormant giant - with plenty of seats vacant in 2C Supp, ready to absorb those failed in 2C balloting.a few years back, and even for last year, those residing within 1km will not have a problem getting in the school. but alas... how things have changed.
previously, at least for phase 2C supp, there are still schools like st margarets, marymount convent to apply... but now... SIGHH...
today, these two giant schools woke up in the year of the Dragon, roaring ! Many parents hunger for them, eager to charge in. Next year - predict St Marg and Marymount FULL house, by end of Phase 2C.
to avoid crowd:-
for Catholic - can enter Marymount one phase earlier, Phase 2B.
for Anglican - can enter St Marg earlier, Phase 2B. -
any idea if smps has a cut off time line for pv like scgs. ie 08 kids must submit application by 1 nov 2012.
-
The PRs were eliminated this year. PRs will join start to join clan/Churches etc. SMPS next year will be hot!

So far the buzz is abt girls sch. What about the boys sch sjij n acsj?
Did we get more piglet girls or boys?
Next year worse for boys also eh?
 -
gvyong:
an unknown number also come from the newly converted SCs (formerly PRs). Now that they've become SCs - they'll be fighting head on clash with SCs born here. Need to look at Total summation. Looking at birth rate of SC born piggies data insufficient to conclude whether more piglet boys or girls. Only after factor in newly converted SCs then can tell whether more 2007 boys or more girls. So far the buzz is abt girls sch. What about the boys sch sjij n acsj?

PRs from the European, US, Japan etc from many advanced countries may not trade their own country citizenship for Singapore. Many PRs also may have dual citizenship with other advanced countries, they will not give up. Which countries will give up for Singapore? Malaysia, China, India etc???
China and India have more boys in singapore? -

For co-ed schools, you may want to look at schools in other areas too.
For SC, be rational and avoid ballot. If you are unlucky you will end up in P3. but you can per MOE website
\"Singapore Citizen (SC) / Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) children who are unsuccessful in obtaining a Primary One place in a school of their choice at the end of Phase 2C Supplementary should approach MOE to facilitate their placement to a school which still has vacancies.\"
