Does anybody know how the T-score is calculated when there are only three subjects? My kids are exempted MT, so only EMS… then how?

wah, all 38 pages… i read bits here and there but mostly pertaining to 4 subjects. but ok, I will try to browse through everything. thanks though.

OK, I have read the entire thread… all 38 pages not including this 39th page which is headed by my question. I have found exactly 3 posts asking the same question I am asking, 2 of which went totally unanswered. 1 had a reply saying that they didn’t know exactly, but knew that those with MT exemption tended to do better than expected.
Which still doesn’t answer my question. LOL. So I gather from my painstaking reading of the 300+ posts that no one knows. Ah well. Thanks anyway. -

I may be wrong here - but I believe the t-score for 3 subjects is normalised to to 4 subject based t-score, perhaps they take the t-scores of 3 subjects divide by 3 times 4 ? I guess you can call up any school to check or email MOE -

Oh, mine are both Dyslexic. I think need to have an official psychologist’s report and recommendation for exemption. Usually for children with special needs like dyslexia, autism, etc… Those are the more common reasons I think. But it’s not automatic. They must prove with tests that the child is really struggling with one language already, and usually they must already be doing badly in MT. My kids got their exemption in pri 2, my son was failing badly, my daughter was struggling to even pass.
