Thanks for your reply. Where did you bring your child?

Do you think it is ok to travel to Hong kong disneyland with my 6 years old alone?

went with dd when she was about 10 years old to washington then to toronto.

went with dd and ds to london a few times.

yes, hk is easy to move around and it is perfectly fine to take your 6 years old there yourself. but do be careful and not let your child wander off by herself (even going to the toilet herself or choping a table while you go to buy food is a big NO NO). too many rumours going round there about children being kidnapped.

for me, i would travel light (and if possible direct flight) and check in all my bags. having a hand carry luggage is troublesome cos some toilet cubicles in the airports might not be big enough to take in 2 persons + luggage. experienced that when we were in bangkok airport recently.

            have fun... ๐Ÿ˜‚

                  Hi,

Last june holidays i wanted to travel with Ds alone. But then as advised by fellow kiasu parents i went with him alone (without DH) joining in a small conducted tour group (12 pple) to melbourne.

I was very happy because my DS (9yr old) has shown much maturity without daddy around. He was able to take care of our things and was surprising quite mindful of me... :imcool:

At first i was worry travelling with him alone but after last trip i have gained much confidence and we already planning for our next trip alone free & easy. He wanted to go osaka's pokemon centre....so let see how is osaka's condition by end of the year.

If you are worry, why not try joining a small guided tour. Don't joined those 30-40 pple tour. Too crowdy for comfort. The one i went with was rather comfortable with 4 family only. There was a mother and daughter pair too in our group. They travelled alone too :hugs:

                  Cheers !

Hi, are you and your 6yo of the same gender? Dont think it's a good idea/ safe to let you 6yo visit a toilet by himself in crowed hongkong ( or even singapore!) This is already a (scary) task in itself.
