hmm. i admire u ladies man! i also wanna be a SAHM but i can't do household chores so i don't think my hubs will let me SAH.

When I first began to stay home, I didn't even know how to operate washing machine and vacuum cleaner And I couldn't cook either. My first attempt at frying sausage was a disaster, sausges turned into charcoal and I had to throw them away :rotflmao:

Ya me too have no idea how to fry a decent egg
Will be going for cooking and baking classes soon

i had my training OJT when i was away in UK furthering my studies some 20 years ago.

Not 'tai tai' la, don't have maid le. Admit I was the 'xiao jie' type when newly married. My hubby and my mum are always too helpful so I never bother to do any housework :rotflmao: thus HAVE to learn everything that comes with the SAHM job description from scratch after staying home. Well, I'm training my girls to do housework so hopefully I can shake legs again when they're all grown up :evil:

Many of my friends also commented I am a Tai Tai but I think I am just lucky and blessed to have a supportive husband

To be a SAHM, there is no one to coach...really a learn-as-you-move kind of thing. Buying correct detergent for eg, clothes, undies, coaching kids in their work and planning schedule...that is really no joke. I used the washing machine with simple function. Don't like to read wordy manuals.

Went shopping for a washing machine recently. My old & ever lasting 11.5 years old whirpool finally crash & flood my kitchen :yikes:

Gosh, to my surprise, most models have 10 to 13 types of wash functions. On top of that need to set water temperature, spin speed, plus option for pre-wash function, cease free function & whole lot of other buttons, seeing stars

I told hubby I've learning disablities so I can only handle on/off start/pause buttons :rotflmao:

Mine is a 8kg top loading...use heavy wash each time. Dump in 1 spoon of Persil, colour bleach (kill germs) and softener. When machine beeps, I hang up laundry.

Hate to learn new stuff for appliances...now that I'm using iphone, worst ! I've become stupid using other brands of mobile.

reading this thread makes me laugh

i am not a SAHM but really wish one day i can be one while my kids are still young.
i am planning to do this in 2 yrs time, by then, DS will be taking his PSLE and best time for me to stay with him during this period.
but financial wise, i really have to do some planning before i quit my job
i hope to job this club soon !!
