I think dd cannot see logic and patterns one... Sounds like someone I know... :yikes:
Well, that's what me DH likes to say when kids not picking up things fast enough
Sometimes, it just need time for them to develop fully to grasp certain concepts, so dun worry. DD supposed to be mid jan child but came out & start one year early. I had a lot of problem with such questions back now. But now, she's is doing well in her Maths. Give her time
Ps : press wrongly end up at this thread. Just kapoh

agree with everyone on the concept. Use A + B = C to revise or teach. It will be easier for her to grasp. The main gist is for her to understand regardless of the number, the theory is the same...
Erm.... cos' my dd dunno leh... :faint:
I think she return all the number bond to teacher liao... :faint:
Or teacher never teach? :faint:
Revise until I want to :faint:
Majiam I do home schooling... :faint:
Nvm... after long weekend then revise again... :faint:
Hope she didn't return all to me by Monday... :faint: -

Dd can really visualize the answers only with small numbers... But not with big numbers... She's slowly understanding the concepts... :xedfingers:
Pity the kids... Last time we P1 where got learn so fast one...
Wonder which parent got the courage to let the P1 kid flunk his/her test?
No choice if parents are too bz with work to supervise. -
Daddy
To some extent, with DS, I am not so afraid of him flunking any of his test. Or course I do not wish for him to flunk any of it but I have not been supervising his work that closely either.

Could be a been there done that thing as I have been through P1 with DD. I am more gan cheong with DD.
Could be this strange thing about expectations of your first born that I am more on my toes with DD.
Could also be due to their character. I know DS will be devastated and learn a good lesson should he flunk. He is the kind who will make sure that will not happen again. DD will cry buckets and very quickly realise that it is not the end of the world and get desensitised over the initial disappointment. That is my fear for DD.
So I dare to let DS fail at P1 but I did not dare to let DD fail even in kindy.
