To some extent, with DS, I am not so afraid of him flunking any of his test. Or course I do not wish for him to flunk any of it but I have not been supervising his work that closely either.
:faint:
Dd can really visualize the answers only with small numbers... But not with big numbers... She's slowly understanding the concepts... :xedfingers:
Pity the kids... Last time we P1 where got learn so fast one...
Wonder which parent got the courage to let the P1 kid flunk his/her test?
No choice if parents are too bz with work to supervise.
Could be a been there done that thing as I have been through P1 with DD. I am more gan cheong with DD.
Could be this strange thing about expectations of your first born that I am more on my toes with DD.
Could also be due to their character. I know DS will be devastated and learn a good lesson should he flunk. He is the kind who will make sure that will not happen again. DD will cry buckets and very quickly realise that it is not the end of the world and get desensitised over the initial disappointment. That is my fear for DD.
So I dare to let DS fail at P1 but I did not dare to let DD fail even in kindy. -

I wouldn't say I have the courage but I let DD1 revise on her own for her bite size assessments and see what she gets. I am not an :imanangel: so I will  depending on the mistakes she made.

my way of keeping track of her is with the past year papers so from there I will revise the mistakes or coach her on what she might not know. -
