Would appreciate it if parents with children taking Tamil as MTL in primary school can share their experiences here.
Thank you :please: -
I don’t speak, read and write Tamil and neither does my husband. We picked Tamil as MTL for our children because it’s my mother tongue.
Anyone else in the same situation? -
Hi,
Yes I'm faced with the same problem. My hubby is big on Tamil but not me however his passion for Tamil is not rubbing off well on both my gals!!
For now my older gal is in P2 so its still very much holistic so I'm really worried when she goes to P3...keeping my fingers cross :xedfingers: -

Dear Sun_2010,
At least you can speak Tamil! My husband and I can’t speak, read and write it. We tell teachers that, but their only advice is that at least one of us must speak Tamil to the kids so that they will pick it up eventually. -
