Scholarship? That's really interesting. So we'll have to look for outside ballet teacher/choreographer to prepare the child and get the dance filmed? I suppose this takes place in the first 3-4 months? There's also a scholarship for those who are strong in academics and talented too based on what I read from their website.
Yes, a choreographed piece at a dance studio, and videoed. It takes time to have this made, and knowing about this does help. Obviously if a dance teacher can help, the quality of the dance would be better.
The SOTA fees are $360 per month, which translates to alot of money saved over three years

Has the fees increased? I thought it is $350 (Y1-3) for Citizen plus $17 misc fees. So total should be $367. :? -

Pixie, have seen the BAC on the website...but no info on how to audition leh. Roughly when is the audition? Then I can check back if I can remember when the time comes.Ragamuffin,
There's a Ballet Associates Course at SDT. She had auditioned for it and was selected so she's taking classes once a month there. You can check their website. It's a yearly intake. She also joined the Junior Academy at SOTA. More info can be found at SOTA website. Other than that, my girl attends her regular ballet classes at CC. -
Thanks dance and theatre & dasalo!
dasalo : perhaps dance and theatre rounded down the total?
dance and theatre : yup the info is indeed useful. Should my girl get into SOTA I'll have to check that out. Thank you. -
Ragamuffin
The audition for this yr was held early Feb. Erm I signed her up in Jan but I think the registration for audition started in Dec last year not sure. You may want to look
out for news on their website this dec. There's a minimum age requirement but not minimum grade so I guess you may let her try out for next year or the following year's intake
It's definitely very early preparation for entrance to SOTA but if one is really keen why not? Haha. -
