congrats!DD has gotten the letter back today. She qualifies for full exemption this year
and we are happy for her.
This year Y3 gets to go Australia, Japan, HK, Taiwan, Vietnam or Malaysia of their choice. It is only partially subsidized. -

How many in yr3 get full exemption this year? -
Attended the briefing on Revised Subjects Combination meant for Y1 and Y2.
The P and school have their valid points. But from parentsโ point of view, is this revised combination really benefit for the child?
Still a bit confused that the selection of subjects would be done at Y3 instead of the usual Y2 ??? -
I didnโt attend briefing and Ds is in y2. Can someone fill me in on the new system and impact on the kids? Thks v much

Basically, at the end of Y2, students would choose 2 Sc subjects. Is this the same as the current practice? Also, the school strongly discourages triple Sc since at Y5, the students have to drop one or even two anway.
You can go ntrix to view \"2012 Term 3 Parents Letter Issue 2\".
Well, for me (Y1 parent), I know I worry about choosing the 2 Sc subjects only next year

Not sure of the numbers, dd's class has 4. The highest number as expected from 3E, the talent class. However, they had very difficult papers in term 3 where many didn't do well for maths, which double count. -

So far what you have described is the same as current system, not sure where is the revision you mentioned.Basically, at the end of Y2, students would choose 2 Sc subjects. Suppose the P is stressing a-level performance. Hopefully, there will be more attractions on school webpage. In terms of students individually, however, will \"less science subjects\" impair their university application?
To better understand school's new policy, I would like to know better about university application criteria other than a-level result. -

It is extremely rare nowaday for students to take triple H2 sciences at a-level. Very rare even in RI and HCI. You may end up studying alot for the same University admission score. -
