Whoa! ..... for a moment, I thought that that infamous Mdm Serene Ong was at the Unity Parents Networking Forum .... or may be she sent her proxy.... Or may be her son sent a proxy.... So intense....
Tsk tsk tsk.... think Mdm Ong and her proxy have all the intention to see Ms Belinda Cheng be dealt with, as if the police report and MOE complain is still not suffice...
Tsk tsk tsk.... now I start to get worry, maybe 20 years later Mdm Ong and her proxy's grandchildren would have no school to attend, due to all the schools close shop liao cos no one under the sun would want to be a teacher.... IF EVERY PARENT ADOPT HER ATTITUDE!
Nice, upload it.

For or against, it is subjective.
But, here's something for everyone to ponder over.
Rules and regulations are set as it put a system in place where everyone know what is expected. It also ensure that everyone know the boundaries to be CIVILIZED. If any are broken, it allows those that don't follow TO LEARN that there are consequences for their actions.
By enrolling in a school, the stakeholders unanimously agree to abide by its' rules and regulations. Therefore, any punishments mete out when rules are flouted should be accepted and not challenged. If parent starts to challenge it, what message are they bringing across their child?
For those who have watched CSI Las Vegas Season 7, Episode 4 : Fannysmacking. You would know the whole story.
For those who don't, I would like to share what was being said by Gil Grissom.
The truth is, a moral compass can only point you in the right direction, it can't make you go there. Our culture preaches that you shouldn't be ashamed of anything you do anymore. And unfortunately this city is built on the principle that there's no such thing as guilt. \"Do whatever you want, we won't tell.\" So without a conscience, there's nothing to stop you from killing someone. And evidently you don't even have to feel bad about it.
Though it is a bit far-fetched to link it together but I can't help but feel that our society might degenerate to such a state if we continue to have parents who feel that rules and regulations are made to be broken and there are no consequences for not following.
You know about Gil Grissom too? :udaman: I never missed a single episode of his CSI...and I miss him... ooops, off topic! :offtopic: -

Observed many parents are over-indulgent and bringing up spoilt brats.
Shudder at the thought these kids are getting more by the days and becoming the pillar of society when they grow up. -

What school rules did he break?
From picture, I see nothing wrong with fringe n side...so maybe the back?
Maybe moe do what the army is doing. All boys should have one type of hairstyle - botak - to avoid confusion.[/quote]

This reminds me of what Shaw Her did in school. I hope he wouldn't mind that I share this story here.
Our discipline master was also our form teacher. Shaw Her's hair was very long, the very hippy type back in those days. He was given a warning by our form teacher who instilled extra discipline on his own class as the discipline master of the school. Face question, if you know what I mean. Well, after a reminder or two, Shaw Her came to school with a botak hairstyle. Our form teacher was :yikes: :yikes:
while Shaw Her asked him   if that was short enough. The whole class was

Maybe the schools should show parents photos of what is acceptable and what is not for hairstyle, uniform, shoes and socks during P1 orientation.
Then there would be no confusion and no excuses throughout the 6 years. Those who disagree should transfer the child out, the school should not make exception or change the rules to cater to the few indulgent parents! Many queuing up to take over the place esp. if it is a coveted school.
