But the moe web stated 44applied for 24 vacancies for marymount convent.

Yes, but balloting was for those staying beyond 2 km from the school. So, probably 20 places went to SCs staying within 2 km, 21 SCs beyond 2 km and the balance were PRs.

None for PR, all to SC children per MOE's website
        http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/balloting/

Done with the balloting for P2CS on Tues 21/8.

MOE website stated balloting for SCs staying beyond 2 km from school.

From what klleow said, 21 vyed for 4 slots. Given that there were 24 places with 44 applicants, we can deduce the following:

          1. 20 places went to SCs staying within 2 km
          2. 4 places were balloted by SCs staying beyond 2 km; there were 21 applicants in this category
          3. 44-20-21 = 3 applicants left --> most likely they are PRs. These 3 PRs were unsuccessful.

          Right?

              Right?

Yeah, the school admin was not transparent about the numbers on the last day of registration. I was told at 1 hour prior to closing of the registration that there are about 10 places left, with slight over 20 applicants.... had they been transparent enough, i think more SCs would have withdrawn and the poor 3 PRs would not have wasted their chances...

Phase 2C? If you are one of the applicants outside 2km, you should have received the result.

If you have not, you have to call up the sch to check.

The distance between your house and the school has nothing to do with the phase your child will be in. Please read through MOE's website for more information:
