She is 10 this year - a \"sensitive\" pre-teen age for girls so Happy Mama - we are in the \"same boat\" will have to deal with many more \"girlish\" problems later :hi5:

I love "brave" as it touches on the relationship between mother and daughter. I watched it with DD1 last week, thinking that it’s just another kiddy show. I am very glad we watched it together and discussed it after the show. DD1 could see that the queen loves her daughter and the latter’s rebellious action almost caused her to lose her mother. There’s always consequences to bear for taking the wrong action. Strongly recommend that all mummies watch it with their princesses (and prince though I am unsure if 10 year old boys want to watch a show where the hero is a girl. Haha)
Have a good weekend! -
Thanks Trina!
We’re not going for a holiday next week, so a nice movie will be a good way to bond with dd. She’s starting to show ‘attitude’, talk back, sometimes leaving me speechless. It may be timely to remind both of us of the mother-daughter tie. -
gd morning club2002!
yesterday is the last paper for my son.he came with his marks of other three subjects.first time his eng marks so low - lower band2. maths also lower band2.his marks continuously falling from ca1. one console his mt lower band1.
champ!
u r a great mummy. take care!. marks are nothing. i think she
didn’t have enough time to practise? -
Mini term test results out.
Ironically, his weakest subject is above class average and strongest subject is barely above class average. Usual, math tests with careless mistake that he himself is ashamed of. Maintained his form for english paper two. Next term killer will be paper one and oral! -

Long time no see; how have you been? Glad that CA2 is over for your DS too! Cheers!
:dowan: I am not a great mummy - am just learning along the way to be the best supporter and friend to all my children
Thankful that DD1 has put the CA2 episodes behind her and is now gearing towards the next lap. Still coming home with tons of homework - spending almost 3 hours on the study-table finishing them yesterday afternoon.
She mentioned that FT tell the class that SA2 is barely 6-weeks down the road so is trying to finish the syllabus soonest possible
:nailbite:
Wishing all the best to Club 2002 children - Enjoy plays, rest in between all studies! :imcool:

Agreed 6 weeks to reflect and work on their weaker subjects. I spoke to DS about enrolling him into writing class. He was upset but i had to hold my top to explain to him : apparently he is still not writing with conscience. He just speed write and think as if it is done he did his part. So he still cannot \"see\" :? what was wrong about his writing.
I had to sit him down to explain the different between lower primary and upper primary level requirements. To sum i told him P1-P3 he is to \"learn\" writing and from P4-P6 he has to write to \"learn\". :xedfingers:
He has to develop the ability to recognize grammar & spelling error; and verb & subject agreement. Not sure if any or my words get into him...sign...I also told him its time to slow down to reflect on why despite so much efforts we put into his study and yet his result did not meet his own goals. (he got band 2 for math and english) ...
Anyway, let not give up, give a pat on our back and look forward to SA 2...another 8 more exams b4 PSLE ( P5 ~ 4 exam & P6 4 more phew

Agreed 6 weeks to reflect and work on their weaker subjects.
:snuggles: Hi! Pignite - 6 weeks is definitely a very short period; in the twinkling of an eye and our kids will be graduating from P4
DD1 knows her weakness and the not so-understood concept in certain topics after the subject-Ts went through their CA2 papers. Thankful, Ts are very positive and encourage the class to tackle those areas
Pignite:
:salute: :salute: you are a very hands-on and dedicated parent! :hi5:I had to sit him down to explain the different between lower primary and upper primary level requirements. To sum i told him P1-P3 he is to \"learn\" writing and from P4-P6 he has to write to \"learn\". :xedfingers:

Language is \"big & wide\" and there are so many ways of learning. I am not a \"language\" person  so that why many times I have to refer to guide books and helps from friends to understand the grammar, verb & subject agreement etc..Pignite:
:scared: :yikes:  :siam: PSLE!Anyway, let not give up, give a pat on our back and look forward to SA 2...another 8 more exams b4 PSLE ( P5 ~ 4 exam & P6 4 more phew

Just taking a small step at a time and Yes! let's all walk the path together with our kid(s)! Jia You! :rahrah: :rahrah:

Good morning Club 2002 :snuggles:
Champ, glad that your DD has got over and all ready for the next race, that's the spirit ! :hi5:
Though DD has pull in better grades than SA1, we are not letting our guard down as the languages for CT2 were computed with the exclusion of writing and oral, especially her weakest subject, MT.
To all mommies and kids, let's jia you for SA2.
