Boarding is a way to learn some life skills n be independent.Jennifer:
17 pieces per week is pretty little. Casual Tshirts and shorts is already 2 pieces per day. Mon - Thurs will mean 8 pieces for that. Then, blouse and skirt also 2 pieces per day, haven't even count the PE attire and Polo T.
Mmmmm.....
:rotflmao:
My boy is going for Outward Bound - Marine Mobile this year. We attended the briefing. Seems much more challenging than boarding. Yes, I am worried

No worries. The briefing mainly informed the history/mission of OBS and flashed photos of some of the activites. There is a letter on what to prepare for the trip, think it comes tge with the medical checkup form.

Sg OBS has two types - Challenger and Marine Mobile. Difference is Marine Mobile has more days of water activities.
The other OBS is at Sarawak - think this is for senior high. -

This sound so much fun! Do they all get to do it? Nowadays school life is so varied. Last time when we were in school, it is only study study study

I think all schools have OBS or some Adventure camp in Sec 3. Not sure if it's a MOE directive. eg. Pri 5 camp is compulsory.Jennifer:

Jennifer, my boy is doing the Land OBS, not Marine. He says a few of the JH3s are identified for and going for the OBS Sarawak and they have to pay S$1000+.
