17 pieces per week is pretty little. Casual Tshirts and shorts is already 2 pieces per day. Mon - Thurs will mean 8 pieces for that. Then, blouse and skirt also 2 pieces per day, haven't even count the PE attire and Polo T.

      Mmmmm.....

Boarding is a way to learn some life skills n be independent.

And for worried mums like me, a prelude to NS! šŸ˜† :rotflmao:
My boy is going for Outward Bound - Marine Mobile this year. We attended the briefing. Seems much more challenging than boarding. Yes, I am worried

I didn't get to attend the briefing bc my boy gave me the letter for it AFTER it was over!!! What was the briefing about?

What are the other modules that other students are going for (other than OBS)??

is boarding compulsory or optional at njc?

          Yes, compulsory

Yes, boarding is compulsory but at SH level some may choose to board for convenience. (Study more! >:D)

No worries. The briefing mainly informed the history/mission of OBS and flashed photos of some of the activites. There is a letter on what to prepare for the trip, think it comes tge with the medical checkup form.

Sg OBS has two types - Challenger and Marine Mobile. Difference is Marine Mobile has more days of water activities.

The other OBS is at Sarawak - think this is for senior high.

This sound so much fun! Do they all get to do it? Nowadays school life is so varied. Last time when we were in school, it is only study study study šŸ™‚

I think all schools have OBS or some Adventure camp in Sec 3. Not sure if it's a MOE directive. eg. Pri 5 camp is compulsory.

Jennifer, my boy is doing the Land OBS, not Marine. He says a few of the JH3s are identified for and going for the OBS Sarawak and they have to pay S$1000+.

                  Hi,

For JH1 boarding, we buy "single" bed linen?

                  Thanks.

bedsheet & pillowcase provided. You have to change it according to the colour of the week.

You need to bring your own pillow though. Mattress no need to bring, hor.
