I must add that I am totally appalled at the ergoworks product that I bought from them!


The sales person who sold me the table and chair bundle insisted that he had told me the chair, which is covered in synthetic leather would peel after some time!!!

I totally had no recollection of that statement. if not, i would not have made that purchase… the whole family was there and knowing my hubby, he would have also discouraged the buy if he had heard that the chair would peel!

I called the showroom asking what happened to the chair…and they said it was ‘normal’ for synthetic leather to peel after some time. I may sound stupid but this was NOT made clear to us that the quality would be so bad…

The chair was clearly not misused, or put under direct sunlight or exposed to any form of cold temperature. the chair, in fact, was kept nicely in a cool temperature room, away from extreme weather conditions whatsoever. the kids would use it occasionally when they needed to do their work and with our supervision.

That chair was a problem other than just the leather itself…had to call the company to ask them down for checks not too long after purchase as well.

Now with the peeling synthetic leather, the clothes get stuck on with those remains of the peels and it drops all over the floor too…then on top of the peels, the white portion underneath is somehow powdery. So kids’ clothes especially dark ones get stained white too.

To top it off, the upholstery is not cheap. Just to change it to fabric and including installation, it costs a whooping $290 as quoted by sales person!! the chair costs $690 now… that is like…half price of a new chair and their fabric is soooo expensive!!

They insisted that there was nothing they could do except to ask me to pay for upholstery to get it solved… the most upsetting thing is that, is I had known or been told that quality would be so lousy, i would not have bought!

So when you guys buy from them, think twice, thrice about quality…

I just got the Ergonomic table & chair. compared Crosscom are much much cheaper.

cheaper but doesn't mean good... I had bad experience with ergoworks product! and their service repair isn't cheap too...

Not sure if i should get it as it is just the right size we want.

Anymore genuine recommendations?

I didn’t go through this thread but I thought I saw ikea also selling ergo type tables (ie a bit slanting)? Some ikea stuff may not be that lasting but I will buy some types becos the furniture can be cheap and suited for the type of use.

I've stopped looking since i bought...but i bought my bundle at 1600+ if i recall correctly. R the prices that cheap now?

Anyway i will not go back coz i have bad experience with them already...

earlier this week i went for lunch and i saw a new shop in wheelock place 3rd floor. it’s called ergokid and they carry the Moll desks, the same german brand as crosscom. the quoted prices are lower and I was told it’s the new official prices from the manufacturer. the prices are still high but the products are a class above any of the brands mentioned in this thread.

I just can’t help feeling like those of us who bought these ergonomic tables and chairs for our kids were completely ripped off!!


We bought a set from Jarrons because they claim theirs are from Germany.
I have to say there is little difference where the product comes from cos there isn’t much technology to speak about.

Anyway, their chair is so crap as one keeps falling off the chair due to the forward slant Besides the knob below the chair just fell off one day on its own!!

Now some 7 months after their delivery, they still have not delivered to me my extra set of cushion cover and they refuse to come and check on the chair. Their tactic is always to pacify and say they will arrange and call me back but after more than 10 calls to them, they have yet to come!!!

Theirs is the worst customer service I have ever encountered!!!

I am still looking for a desk for my son. I have been to ergoworks, kinderfun and kid2youth. Their prices more or less similiar but I wonder how can kinderfun stands out as they are the only one offering only 1yr warranty.


I have yet to visit Atwood and probably will do so this weekend.

Anyone got lobang to get better discounts from ergoworks or kid2youth? Still very ex to me even with their current promotion :oops:

the table and chair have been with us for more than 5 years (both went to foreign land with us and back) ...both are still in good condition (no peeling etc). haha..some pen marks on table which is inevitable


got them from the store next to the teochew restuarant at centrepoint.

I believe is Kinderfun cos I just went last night at Centrepoint. But it just got me worry when they only offer 1 yr warranty whereas the rest 3 or 5 yrs though the saleslady kept emphasizing that their quality is superb and hardly any problem.
