      phtthp:
can share how you all prepare kids for spelling ?

is ur child in P1 this year or next year?

for spelling I asked her to write 5 times then repeat without seeing for 5 times each word.then I asked to tell her the spelling in the order. Then can mix up the spelling list.I usually don't do.

Asking them to spell the words out loud followed by reading the word help…

My girl is attending I can read program and I only revise this way with her about 20 min before lesson and it seems quote sufficient for her… please note that the phoinics by spelling out does help her a lot… to put the words together rather than remembering the letters…

Phonics is indeed very helpful in learning spelling. I usually revise with my gal the night before.

                  Hi reiner,
Good for your daughter, for getting into the school you pv-ed.
Deuter school bags are good. ( $120-$130). DS1 used it for two years and its a great bag.

                  About my DS2 graduation concert, I paid : $175 !!!
Costume $45, Graduation photos $45, concert ticket per pax $30 each ( at Nanyang Girls' High school auditorium...). Today. ST reported that a few parents complained about the high ticket costs.... now, i'm contemplating to write to the school and ask, why must parents pay to watch the concert? I'm ok if we charge for grandparents or siblings.... but parents??

Are there any shops that sell it cheaper? Primary 1 kids need which size?

Am not sure. I bought it at Beauty World Centre... the shopowner gave me a discount too.

Actually can try Popular bags too, but it did not last long.
