Hi all, my boy seems to be having a lot of difficulties in composition writing. I do not really see any improvement in his composition after quite a lot of practices.
Any of you have any suggestions or can point me to any resources that may help the kids to improve their PSLE composition? -

Err... Not to be pedantic, but I believe that the answer to the first question should be: Mother reminded me not to forget to visit my aunt that Sunday.

I believe that your proposed answers to the first question are both acceptable. However for the second question, the subject \"kidnappers\" should traditionally be at the front, so that the pronoun \"they\" would make easier reference later. Option C reads awkwardly and I would definitely not recommend that as an answer.Need some help to check if my answers r correct in the synthesis.

Honestly speaking, considering the amount of time that he has left, it would be very difficult to see improvement in writing quickly... However, you might like to try the following:Hi all, my boy seems to be having a lot of difficulties in composition writing. I do not really see any improvement in his composition after quite a lot of practices.
Any of you have any suggestions or can point me to any resources that may help the kids to improve their PSLE composition?
Instead of getting him to write our whole compositions at this point in time, have him write short scenes with specific scenarios. \"A child crying having lost his parents in a shopping mall\"; \"An old man slipping and falling in a crowded wet market.\"; \"A teacher reprimanding a pupil for not submitting an assignment.\"
Assess his writing of those short scenes in terms of its descriptiveness, use of varied vocabulary, character development, etc... Providing very specific suggestions on how to improve the sentences constructed. Generally speaking I usually would prefer for the child to come to his own understanding of what needs to be changed rather than for me to prescribe specific changes, but in your case, due to the lack of time, the prescriptivist approach might be necessary. -
