I happen to know of two HCI boys who are in JC 2 this year, they scored D6 and D7 but were required to take MT in JC1 to retake the exams. For Raffles JC is like what you stated.
This may be a factor in deciding between HCI and RI for some?

Anyone knows if the school will provide remedial lessons for those who are weaker in certain subjects ? If so, only in P5 onwards ?

Real killer.....[/quote]Seen the paper yesterday, DS2 got the front part all correct but lost all his marks in Comprehension, .... but he did got the question 一寸光阴一寸金，寸金难买寸光阴 correct. Wonder how's the EL paper ... another killer ... ?!

To my understanding, there shd be remedial class for the weaker students.. already on-going in P4.

DS has got his EL pp returned this morning... Sign.. class ave is only 27/40; well below the baseline . Again, comprehension portion is the big killer . :imdrowning:

But overall, DS2 is still below average, although he has been taking HCL since P3 in his former school. But still gave him a big hug since I know he had done his best. :snuggles: Just hope he can do better in SA.

Yup, EL is another killer for DS2 although there are kids who had done very well, at least I know there's one that had scored 36.5/40 in his class.

No, not yet because DS2 hasn't got back his paper but just know his own score, I'm worried too, just hope he can be at least above average, EL is his weakest subject all along. But I do know HCL, highest 46 & lowest 26 for his class. Pity the kids ....
