I have noticed over the last few days that whenever my eight-year old perspires, her body odour is quite bad. Her diet hasn’t changed, so would anyone know what could be the likely causes?

I think so. I Googled this because I got an error message after hitting the Submit button and I thought my query didn’t get posted.

I found a couple of local health websites and parenting forums that mention this. Another parent’s daughter also had this when she was eight. Other parents who had experienced this with their kids too recommend Crystal Deodorant from Sasa. I’ll go down to one of their outlets this week to check it out.

She’s into puberty early. Make sure to teach her how to do proper hygiene for herself. Bad odor is nearly impossible to cure once it has developed in the body.

The crystal deod are available in nature's farm as well. One lasts for very long.

                    hi jacsplace,

provide ur dd with 2 packs of wet tissue in her bag, ask her to clean her armpits and other body fold areas (elbow, behind knee, neck) with the wet tissue before applying deodorant each time…

use 1 new piece of wet tissue per spot to clean…

Any side effect ie itchiness or redness after using the crystal salt?

Hi verykiasumummy, Crystal Deodorant is supposed to last 24 hours. So far, she has been applying it once a day at home. I’d rather not let her take it to school because she is forever losing things 😞

However, I am monitoring the situation and if necessary, I’ll let her use it in school too. I guess better to lose S$5.90 than have my daughter go through the embarrassment of losing friends because of bad B.O.
