Just check with my son. Some of his classmates use books from different publisher, with different pagination, and no complains or \"pickoff\" from their teacher. I think they are quite tolerance in this case. I think so long as the story are the same, OK.

Can help to check whether how they use the book? discuss the story in class? or ask them to voice their opinion on the storyline?

Quoting my DS, the teacher will provide some worksheet for them to review about characters in the story and also they do a class work where they are given certain chapter to work on and present their opinion on the characters and story.

Just tell the teacher that you cannot affort to buy another one lah! Then again, some teacher may be more particular and may embarass your kids for not using the \"official\" version from school. :roll:

Yuou mean you tried to buy and was told out of stock islandwide? Did they tell you when it will be in?

Yes, I tried to buy (even from places like Borders) but no luck. There are few published by Puffin left in a couple of Popular Bookstore and running out fast too. No news from Pearson when the stock will be in.

Now I am trying to look for the book A Wrinkle in Time, for P5 GEP next year, published by penguin.

The school advised the students to read thru it two to three times during the hols but the problem is the school bookshop has no stock !
