      Hi fifiyeo

Did you ask her why she’s working as a maid here? looks like your maid is flaunting her wealth to you.

Oh I think she tried to pretend that she was mistress of the house. I wear polo-ts so she also must buy t-shirts with colars to wear when working. Parading around to show off to the maid across our house. Every time buying new clothes. I sure agree she's weathier than me. I don't wear my clothes for just 3 months. She does.

So happening!! This type of maid must be shown to MOM. This quality of maid is one of the lowest ranking. Fifiyeo, u shld tell her amongst the helpers, she is the type that cant work n she shld not even open any biz if she doesnt want to learn to get her hands dirty.

We, employers have to tolerate crap from them. I often tell my maid that she won't survive in another household whether in Singapore or Malaysia. I already knew of 3 former maids of mine who don't last more than 8 months when they were transferred out to another employer. I m quite easy going as long as the house is clean and good behaviour from her. Yet the maids cannot even behave themselves.
😓 they think they are head of household.

I am empolyer of maid for over 12 years. I have about 10 maids. As short as 1 month and as long as 4 yrs.

But generally, most maids will work well for me for 6 mths (training period and loan payment), thereafter I will have to tolerate all their nonsense for 3-6 mths, than I or maid will surrender. This apply all nationlity (Filipono, Indonesian, Myanmarese). The whole cycle go round and round that every year need to keep my leaves for this use.

I really hope one day, I can say no more maid! I will held a party and share my maid free with all of you!

The habit of spending and saving, toward working and leisure.

It all comes from the mind of individual.

Burmese maid with us for 4 months. Cleaning - good, English - average. Basically everything is acceptable except she loves to show angry face. With Hp, spent about 28-56 per month topping up. She said called back Myanmar v expensive.

Today, told me she wants to Go city hall meet her Aunty. Said Aunty going back to Myanmar. In my heart, I am so reluctant to say yes but hubby said ok. He suggests to send her to cityhall and we go shopping, meet her hours later to send her back. I don’t know if this is appropriate. I know she is also human, naturally will want to see her friends but to me, Hp is the last thing I can tolerate. See, I didn’t even bother who she calls as long as works done at home.

I am also worry this req may be ask again in near future. I also know if I say no, she will be very unhappy.

                  How?

Is your maid fresh or experienced? Fresh maids normally work without day off and so should not have handphone?

If she needs to meet her Aunty, is it possible for you to bring her there and sit with her during the meeting? I will not be "paiseh" with my maid so they normally do not ask funny things from me.

Hey, I like that. If she claimed to be meeting aunty, maybe you ask them to join you for coffee. This way, maid does not dare to try funny stunts in future.

Seem like no one has good experience with Myanmarese maid. I must be the luckiest person; my current Myanmarese maid has been with me for 2+ yr. I could trust her with my 9 mths old baby without supervision in the day. She is hardworking and very teachable.

She was slow and can’t ready speak English when first came, but she is a fast learner. Now she could speak good English and conversation over phone got no problem. Remember I used to get so frustrated giving instruction over the phone.

We had an agreement that she will go back to continue with her Uni study after 2 years when she just came. We requested her to stay on for half year to take care of the new born baby, we can’t ask for longer period as it will affect her study. And we went on to look for replacement but could not find any suitable candidate.

Just 2 weeks off her departure, she decided to stay on with my family for another 2 and half years. We were so delighted even I had wasted money for the air ticket.

I have to prepare for her passport renewal soon, checked out some maid agencies but they don’t handle Myanmar’s passport renewal. Does anyone have experience on passport renewal for Myanmarese maid? What are the process and prep work to be done?
